I've had these for years and they have worked flawlessly. I mainly use them as remote shutter triggers. Odd thing though, one of the transceivers had a lose rattling sound. I opened it up and two 1/4" long screws just rolled out. These were not attached to anything nor was there a place for them to screw into. Weird, but oh well I guess. The two downsides I see to these units is the non-locking hot-shoe connection and you can't remotely activate the flash when in Canon's LiveView.

Hi. when I pop my 603C ii on to my 80D, it doesn't work. I get "incompatible flash" error when I try to access external flash settings. Can someone please help?

You need to go into your camera's flash menu & disable the ETTL Then set camera dial to "M", set flash sync speed. Set Flash to ATG Auto2 or M Needs more assistants, please reply with your email address.

I received this package as a gift some months ago, but the shutter release cable that came with it I think is the 3-pin(?) type that goes into the 5D/7D/1D series (I have the 70D)...can an off-the-shelf, regular cable (2.5mm jack size?) be used as a safe alternate? Or should I try to look for the appropriate cable made by Yongnuo? Thanks

thank you for the link..the pictures have both the original version and also the new upgraded version 2 so im really unsure which one they are for...Also now that the version 2 is out do you recommend getting that one instead for my 70d..the diff. I see are the locking mechanism on the hotshoe and the switch on the side which says TX and TRX which Im a little confused by...I trust your reviews a lot that is why I wanted the original and Just wanted your input on the version 2

So you only need one of these when trying to trigger the YN560 IV off-camera? I like the idea of the YN TX transceiver but it's a little big for everyday shooting in the field. Can I use one of these for trigger a few YN560IV flashes at once?

That is correct, you only need one to transmit since the III and IV have the receivers built in. And yes, one can trigger many.

ZY Productions Thanks for these vids you've made...really informative. So i wanted to get 2 Yongnuo 560iii flashes & put both on a light stand. What trigger system would be able to do that from my canon t4i that has in camera flash? Do i only need one yongnuo 603c trigger on my t4i camera since both the flashes have built in transmitters? Just want to make sure im able to trigger both flashes on the lightstand? Thanks

jaylegaci You can trigger them optically using your on-camera flash, but using a 603C to trigger them via RF would give you better results (more control) :)

yes, that is possible, the signal will pass through the hotshoe on the triggers :)

Hi Kassy, you are using Energizer Lithium Batteries or regular Energizer Batteries? 4 AAA in transceivers & 4AA in flash and all in the same channel? Notes: you got AAA batteries in correctly? 1. First Trigger on camera is set to TX 2. Second Trigger (flash mounted) is set to RX Once you turn on both & press the transmitter (1st transceiver), it should light up green While the receiver (2nd transceiver) has a flash (turned on) parked on top of it, should flash Reply your email address if you need more help

Hi, get the C1, the C1 is for most Canon cameras in the recent market (rebel series, 60D, 70D). The C3 is for older cameras like the 5D2, 5D, or one of the old 1D's.
