is pip Qualified for Vandee?

So how many generators do you have on board and how frequently are you running them or it? My guess is several hours a day? What is the diesel fuel capacity and what range does that give you? Must have a huge battery bank as well I presume? Is the generator(s) automatic and senses the battery amperage to run? I would doubt solar could generate enough power to run just the steering gear even, but have always wondered, looking at your boat when it was in Forte de France a while ago...

Thinking about sitting at your nav station. I recently bought one of those folding seats whis is effectively a chair with no legs. It works brilliantly for this inveterate cruiser but I wonder if it would work for you? Fantastic video as ever!

Thanks for those wise words! I've started to hear about you pip during covid. I could not leave the UK and I did NOT want to get stuck in London, so I typed "prettiest coast of england" and ended up in Poole, Dorset. You were training there for the Vendee Globe at the time, I remember seeing that in the news, and I followed the race a bit. It was sortof a grim time but the ocean made it so much better. Now I'm thinking of buying my first boat. My dad have his in Britanny, my grandpa was trade marine, at 18 he was off to brazil, my grandgrandpa was a fisherman 11 months a year at sea ashore of newfoundland. Guess it's in my blood :3

Have a look at Knox armoured gear, They look to be as comfortable as you can get and offer serious protection. A step up from American footbal trouwsers for sure.
