Chris…I absolutely love your videos, I could watch for hours. I will say this, I learned a good part of what I know from Brian at Paint Society, like you know he’s awesome too…however, I feel he does a lot more stuff that is a little more technical, more for advanced painters, at least in my opinion. Your stuff I really relate to because I paint in my garage with a small compressor on a budget. You break it down for “Dummies” like me and it’s so appreciated because I learn a lot from you. Thank you for this channel.

I have two problems that need corrections, which were clear-coated already. I'll have to use a clear coat blender after sanding again and try to blend it in.

Can you do instructions on a color change? I’ll be spraying one this summer. Not sure if my approach is right…. It’ll be done in the garage, and the cab is disassembled. I was planning on Imron for the door jambs and inside door surfaces, then assemble the cab and then a matching base/clear for the exterior.

Perfect timing I'll be doing a color change video hopefully before the new year on my wife's car. It will be detailed and be a step by step process of how I go about it.

Hi Chris, IMO masking is a skill all of it's own as it can make or break a good paint job it's something that is overlooked on a lot of videos so it's great to see you doing one for us👍 I've tried that spray away glass cleaner but it's very expensive here so I found a dedicated anti static water based cleaner made by Upol it's made for paint spraying and has the number S2000 on the 1 gallon container (it might have a different number where you are), I'm convinced it has made my jobs come out cleaner and a little seems to go a long way so it might be worth looking into, looking forward to Sundays video🙏👍John UK

1:42 . I see you've used the foam tape to mask the door jamb to the quarter panel. I have a DIY question. What do you think of the method of : opening the door and then backtaping near the edge of the quarterpanel and then curling the masking tape and then closing the door. It's a DIY method for guys that want to save a buck or two on purchasing masking foam. You mentioning of the corona treated plastic the whole car is very important, even if just painting a single panel. Many people paint the cars in a backyard with just a 5 ft of newspaper around the perimeter of the repair area as masking. Then the overspray lands everywhere. Molding, trims, glass, panels, wheels. It's awful. Also i've learned from Jeff Lilly that newspaper ink could react with solvents and then the ink melts and makes a mess. I hope you make some more masking videos. The basics are a strong foundation into everything to be done right.

Good point! Yeah, definitely other ways of masking jambs and that's a good one. I'll be doing some more videos on the topic .appreciate the comment and support!
