As a pastor's kid myself, I hate to see the church shoot its wounded. Just know that the body of Christ will keep you both in our prayers and hope God brings you both to a point of restoration. We don't just need restoration for sin, but also when we are going through being mistreated and hurt. I pray that God brings healing to both of you as you both have gone through a lot. Hillsong college is a cult , hillsong church is a cult of personality. The reason for my answer is there’s a church in Norwich Uk called soul church . It’s a small clone of Hillsong and every pastor leader and elder was trained at HSC . They don’t talk like human beings their eyes are glassed over and having been hurt by these people and leaving you realise just how much everything they do is hype and psychological control . It’s all about getting a full house and getting you to part with your money . There’s no movement of the spirit there , there’s no accountability or teaching on sin . It’s all blessings blessings and they hype you up to hit you with Malachi and take your money . They twist scripture to fit their narrative. Their leaders are clones and they paint this perfect couple image you end up idolising.God and his kingdom is real but Hillsong and soul church are not real churches if they were around in Paul’s day he would definitely be writing them a letter .

I’m surprised they didn’t have family members to stay with. That’s rough when you have children too.

I have experienced those symptoms as Ben did. I believe it was demonic warfare . Finally I had a freedom from that when God just freed me his peace just came over me. Many Christian’s who are moving out with the Lord who had insomnia and vertigo . I have not been attached to Hillsong but have loved the music that came from the ministry. Praying for you and all who have been hurt by people who are in a church.
