Too bad the 8spd is in the top 3 worst transmissions in GM history.

Question for Hyundai owners or someone who can answer , how long will this part last ??
@Bronson18865 күн бұрын
A recall should be issued for this part because mine was replaced and ever since it was replaced I have a clunking sound when I turn my steering wheel so I am not satisfied with the job that was done to my 2012 Hyundai Elantra limited. So I might have to take it apart myself to see what my mechanic did .

very informative video, thanks for the explanation and tips on what to look out for! 1st, dum question, do you need to disconnect both cables on the battery or just the "negative"? 2nd dum question, after you have reconnected all the terminals, does anything need to be reprogrammed? The dealership told me the price was $800 to replace because some reprogramming was necessary?!! After watching 3 videos including yours, no one mentions anything about reprogramming! Thank you again!!
@buildsomethingstupid17366 күн бұрын
@@AlbertoSanchez-r4q never heard of that before! It’s no different from having a dead battery. You will have to reprogram your radio stations sometimes. And only the negative is needed

Look like you trim out the OEM molding around the wheel so you have your dark Gray going in a strait line from front to rear. Love the idea I was trying to figure out how to do mine before sending it to the body shop

Two of the dumbest things I have ever heard full size pickup and fuel mileage! Who buys a full size pickup and gives two 💩about fuel mileage ? I don’t care if it gets 2 miles to the gallon didn’t buy it to save gas don’t care!

Thanks for the video. I've been having issues getting the shifter to go into gears correctly since I purchased my vehicle used. The other night it happened again, and then I the O/D light and service transmission light went on. So, I think this is the problem- at least I hope that's all it is. The transmission has never given me any signs that it's faulty.

2022 GMC Sierra, elevation package (so no HD suspension in the rear), currently 42k miles, regularly tows a large trailer, campers, sxs, dump trailer. Anywhere from 3000 lbs to allegedly over 11,565. She pulls. Had an EGR solenoid blow up, but that's all

I REMOVED THE TIRES ON EACH SIDE,,THEN THE INNER FENDER WELL,,,,IT'S A WHOLE LOT EASIER THAT WAY,,PLUS I GOT THE 6IN.EXTENSION PLUG WRENCH WITH THE MAGNET,,THE ONLY WAY TO GO!! THE OLD TYPE PLUG SOCKET WITH THE RUBBER INSIDE WOULD KEEP THE SOCKET ON THE PLUG AFTER TIGHTENED,,THEN I WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THE PLUG BACK OUT ,,PUT GREASE ON IT,,PUT IT BACK IN ,,HOPING THE SOCKET WOULD COME OUT WITH THE EXTENSION,,,,TOOK ME 3 DAY'S OUT IN THE OPEN COLD!!!!

Never again for me! Just traded my 2024 2.7L for a 2024 5.3L. Only put 6000 miles on the 2.7L! Rattling noises started at 1500 miles - getting louder and louder. Finally took it in for the first service at 6000 miles and the dealer ended up replacing the turbo. Definitely better, but didn’t completely eliminate the noise. The dealer was at a complete loss on how to proceed, so after 2 weeks in the shop I traded it for a brand new 2024 5.3L. Night and day better. Way more responsive and that proper V8 growl. I didn’t realize how bad the turbo lag was on the 2.7L, until I took the 5.3L for a test drive. Needless to say, that 2.7L was promptly traded the same day. Not sure if they ever figured out the issue with that 2.7L.

Did you consider "dismounting" the wiring harness on the left. Then bungee cord it to the A/C line?

The video was good, but I wish it had covered how to put everything back together. I am having trouble getting the column aligned with the bracket in order to insert the main bolt, and I expect the bracket assembly for the height adjustment will be similarly challenging. This is certainly the most difficult repair I have ever done. I hope I can get it done.

Wow so simple!!! Thank you for the walkthrough for the wiring! Always intimidating getting new lights and not knowing how to adapt new led running light wiring because it’s not plug and play. This made it simple for me and gave me the confidence to do this myself! Thank you so much again for your video!
