It doesn't matter whose tips I follow to beat this boss, I just can't do it, I don't even get close, can't even beat the first phase. This game is just way too hard and I'm about to give up which sucks as it is just a waste of money. I am so frustrated with this game that there is no difficulty levels to pick as not everyone is skilled enough to play at this difficultly level. What makes it even more frustrating is that it doesn't matter how many sparks you have it just doesn't help. I'm at level 23 so have 23 sparks and it doesn't matter where I put them or who's tips I follow I still can not pass this boss and I have had a round 50 attempts.

I have no way of getting of fighting big head unless I start new game plus I skipped him and fought the elder and when I came back to try and fight he was gone I'm the fighting tiger now most of the bosses I fought I beat on my first time playing This game.

I find it strange how I talk about how great this game is and how much I loved it, yet there are so many bosses like this that I didn't enjoy. This wasn't a particularly difficult fight, I just didn't think it was fun. Just not enjoyable at all...

The thing about this game is some of these bosses just spam heavies and banes attack constantly and even if you mess up once you get punished severely. I generally don't go for cheese builds cuz it makes me feel like I can't play souls games. But with this boss I don't even regret following this strategy. Good shout g!

That boss was driving me crazy until I found this strategy and as a bonus, found a secret area while obtaining Mother of Flamlings!

How come my heavy attack won’t charge when I’m in cloud step?

This worked perfectly! I made an error with Wind Tamer. However, as soon as I immobilized him and coupled it with Pluck of Many, I charged up, hit him once, and defeated him. I was shocked at how easy it was! Thanks.
