As a Graflex camera user, damn… explains why Graflex flashes are so rare now ;~;

This is really amazing! You've paid so much attention to detail and I really loved hearing your explanations for what each hilt is but also some of your thoughts for why you decided to build a particular hilt. I might not be recalling this correctly but isn't there a short version of the TFA Graflex that's in the box when Rey discovers it in the store room in Maz Kanata's castle?
@Sithslayer4 күн бұрын
@@TedChen thank you! The Maz Box Graflex seems to differ slightly from the hero seen in the majority of episodes 7/8. It has shorter grips. Not much else is known about it, but the theory is that it was put together after filming for pickup shots so it could be a replica

The esb version of the graflex prop truly is a thing of beauty. I was obsessed with it as a kid especially the scene of Luke in the Wampa cave reaching out to it while hanging. The d ring and rivets on the base of the handle used to look like a face to me when I was young.
@zacharymccants779 күн бұрын
The Wampa Cave scene and Luke igniting his green saber for the first time are my two favorite saber scenes from the entire saga. I think the “Snowflex” is the best version of that hilt.

@@MichaelDean1118 so far definitely WannaWanga. Although like you said side by said with the correct variant vintage, they aren’t identical but the difference is minimal. Most other replicas have entirely the wrong knurling pattern.

The V3 should have been the official “hero” saber, and I will die on that hill. It’s the one that always came to mind when I was a kid. The V2 is too beat up and not unique enough to be the hero version, and the one that they did make the official Luke saber is hideous in comparison. Mostly due to that over sized control box on it.
@SithslayerАй бұрын
@@zacharymccants77 so many people feel that way. I personally find the Hero a bit overrated and boring. I love the V2 and V3. There were early licensed replicas based on the V3 in the 90’s actually before they switched to the Hero.
