This is really amazing! You've paid so much attention to detail and I really loved hearing your explanations for what each hilt is but also some of your thoughts for why you decided to build a particular hilt. I might not be recalling this correctly but isn't there a short version of the TFA Graflex that's in the box when Rey discovers it in the store room in Maz Kanata's castle?

Great video as always. Will you be doing the two piece Rey graflex that is cut in half with the crystal showing? I’ve seen conversion kits online that look cool….just an idea!

There's two that I can think of. One is Luke's belt hanger from the holiday special, and there's a mock Graflex that Rey uses during her training with Luke in TLJ. Also, as I'm typing this you're taking about the holiday special one 🤣

Is there a difference between the finishes of the Folmer and Inc clamps? Just scored a Folmer w/ patent top and bottom but sourced an INC for the clamp for an ANH build, was wondering if it’s still mostly accurate?

How did you cut the rivets (Wich tool did you use) ? I would also want to not drill holes in my graflex

I have the DP ISYHCANL. Best replica I've purchased. Not only is Dave probably the top of the heap with accuracy, detail, and quality control, his customer service is the absolute best. I might get the V3 next, even though I am still looking for a good V2.

The esb version of the graflex prop truly is a thing of beauty. I was obsessed with it as a kid especially the scene of Luke in the Wampa cave reaching out to it while hanging. The d ring and rivets on the base of the handle used to look like a face to me when I was young.

I wonder what shade of brown was used in trying to match the brown with this V2 on mine but it’s getting tough

To me the wannawanga one looks like it’s just maybe 0.5-1mm taller. In your opinion who do you think makes the most screen accurate cone knob?

You've done a great job with your 3 part series on the Luke lightsabers. Your explanations of how the different versions of the lightsaber came about are on point and I've learned a lot. Awesome job!

The V3 should have been the official “hero” saber, and I will die on that hill. It’s the one that always came to mind when I was a kid. The V2 is too beat up and not unique enough to be the hero version, and the one that they did make the official Luke saber is hideous in comparison. Mostly due to that over sized control box on it.

I love these different versions. Thats what we don't have with the lightsabers from the prequel trilogy, they just aren't that fascinating.
