I’m a proud owner of an ‘86 245. It can stall when making a hard right turn. An expert Volvo mechanic suggested I look at : “Check the base idle / throttle body is clean and possible sticking IAC “ so finding your video was quite timely. The IAC appears to be the original Bosch part. Perhaps I should just replace it?

For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. kzbin.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.

So as a temporary fix I gota 1 1/2 inch square with adhesive on the back sides I placed the hook portion on the dash face on the upper small pop out panel dirctly in front of the wiper lever on the rt side of the column ,the soft portion of the velcro stuck on the back of my cel phone . I Downloader a free speedometer App and I'm am good to go. My temporary fix has 2 1/2:years use on it now.

1975 was the only year the 164E was available alongside the new 200 series; the reason for continuing the 164E into '75 was because the original PRV 2.7L V6 engine, which was already on sale elsewhere in the world, hadn't yet been given EPA certification. It was not until the next year, 1976, that the 2.7L was finally cleared for U.S. availability, and hence finally the retirement of the 164E in favor of the 264 GL.

About a hair over 7 3/4" I bought two replacement front wheels at Harbor freight that have been fine for two years now.. Rear would be a different story. You need the gear attachment to the rim.

Those Suzuki 2-cycle engines are amazing. They seem to run forever if the air cleaner is maintained and the gasoline mixed properly at 50:1 to 40:1. I was recently given a similar Toro Commercial but the Model tag is missing. Mine has no safety's whatsoever. When you start the engine, the Blade turns. No Blade Brake. Has a cable to engage the transmission by tightening the belt. Sadly, my Belt Cover is missing. The Gal that gave it to me said it hadn't run in years and it was sitting outside for many of them. She got it from a Landscaper that was converting to 4-cycle Mowers. I brought it home and removed the Mikuni Carburetor and cleaned it up. The idle jet has a very small hole and it was plugged. With the Carburetor off of the engine, you can inspect the skirt of the piston viewing through the ports. It has no visible scarring. The Gas Tank was full of sludge and rust. I still need to work on the Gas Tank. But as it is, I put in some premix and it started on the second pull. The mower is very ugly and the rear tires are bald. I was going to use it for parts but have decided to restore it. It has a safety tag saying Meets 1984 Safety Standards. Wish I could figure out the Model Number. Only complaint is the Muffler does little. I'd like to quiet the exhaust down somehow.

The reason for throttle body cleaning solution being different from Carburetor cleaning solution is it will not damage the special coating applied to the throttle body.

We're in the future now, and considering the name on it, it's probably still in use somewhere. I hope it's been upgraded to a SpeedFeed so eliminate at least a minute worth of down time... also knowing by the name on it, it probably doesn't like a hot start!

Hello - Love your Mower. Mine is a 22043 from 2000. So mine surged like crazy at an idle. I found the Brass Idle/Pilot Jet that screws into the top of the carburetor was missing the hole in the bottom. I bought a new Idle/Pilot Jet that has a very tiny hole in the bottom like it should. Put in it and Idles perfectly. My engine says 5.5HP. The Jet I ordered is a Toro Jet-pilot Part # 94-1684. Please check your Pilot Jet and see if the hole through it is missing or clogged? I think they messed up at Mikuni.

My dad had one of these from around ‘90/‘91 (certainly from before I was born in ‘92) and it remained in service for f***ing ever, only dying in around 2020 or so, and when you consider that we’re talking about a machine that literally burnt its own lubricant (because it was a two-stroke and that’s what two-strokes do), that’s bloody impressive! Take a bow, Stihl, take a bow.

I had my SRM 210 for about 10 years. It don't matter how I wind the line, it works fine for a few "bumps", then it won't feed. I take the head off and the line is "Jammed" in the rest of the line in the spool. I unwind it and fix it, and it happens again. Have no idea why the line is "jamming" in the line on the spool. Tried leaving it more loose, and more tight, nothing works. Worst trimmer head I ever had on a trimmer.
