REQUEST: please make a video about potatoes and the blemishes that occur. I often wonder what I am looking at, when I see imperfect potatoes. Some look like bruises, while others look like infections.
@LycanFerret
@LycanFerret Күн бұрын
I find very frequently that "perfect" looking potatoes like to be rotted inside. Like the very center is a big black gaping pit of decay even though the outside looks perfect. Usually these potatoes feel very light. But blemished potatoes tend to be healtheir on the inside, so long as they have cuts and not rotten holes.

@@LycanFerret Thank you! Do you grow them? I usually only buy them in a 20 lb bag.
@LycanFerret
@LycanFerret Күн бұрын
@@eugenetswong Nope. All those rotted potatoes were from bagged potatoes. I don't know why it happens but it is very depressing to cut a beautiful blemish free potato in half and see a big diamond shaped stringy core inside. I've been making sure to only grab the bags that look kinda beat up but feel very dense. Not one internally rotted potato, but I do have to cut away some skin-level damage.
