I miss the presentations of Steve Jobs, the new ones specially the latest ones are horrendous, soulless and terribly monotonous year after year, not to speak about the lack of innovation. The golden era of “one more thing…” are gone. Now the f*ck iPhone, AI and Mx chips dominates the whole narrative. BTW all those apps you talk about were created in the Steve Jobs era as he loved creativity and he was very in touch with artists but not a single (or almost any) software for artists has been created since he is not with us as anymore. I still remember the presentation of GarageBand it was epic, that spirit is gone, apple is now a soulless money machine where it only counts how many iPhones, tablets and Mx Chips machines they sell.

It seems like FCPX has tried to make everything extremely intuitive and easy for newbies, but if you are using it based on how you use Premiere without following the steps you outline here, it is actually very counter intuitive. Great video!

Game changer... Why have Apple buried this in accessibility! Brilliant...
@DerSchneb7 күн бұрын
I hate change when something is perfect and then "improved" to imperfection or plain lack of usability. Case in point, iTunes. I used iTunes to sort music, movies (with thumbnails), TV shows etc. It was awesome. Then they came out with a "new" iTunes whose interface was ugly and unusable as dung. Then there was iMovie. It was perfection in usability... ruined and forced third party filter developers out of business. My last hope was Final Cut Pro... RUINED! I used to do everything imaginable with my Final Cut Pro 2 on the awesome Snow Leopard OS. The new interface? Horrid and unusable, and I have tried several times to make it work. and unless you have monster hardware, it is slow as molasses.

life saver! i bought a new macbook with higher storage and i was so confused why a video i was only 11 SECONDS into editing already stopped processing because my disk was "full." My one video barely edited was 350GB but after I deleted the renders and optimized versions (especially the optimized ones), I suddenly freed up 300GB. I can finally edit in peace thank you!

It’s what it represents that’s the issue. And that it took them that long to simplify their software in the “Undo / Step Backward” situation. What else do they keep clunky or counter-intuitive or inefficient because “that’s just how we’ve always done it.”

Aperture was a bloody good application. Too bad Apple gave it up. SUPPOSEDLY the functions were meant to be incorporated in Photos… and while Photos is good AND has many of the editing features… Apple keeps mucking with the interface to make it more “SOCIAL”…. It kinda sucks now. Ihave Affinity now and it’s good… you have to adapt to the interface but it is good.

Just a note: any decent 40 year old camera should have rendered that shot pin-sharp... I've been using SLRs since the 80s and am experienced with every type of automatic and manual focussing solution from the wonderful split-prism tech on my old Pentax, through newer ground-breaking digital focussing that came along in the 90s / 2000s, right up to what I use on my current Nikon DSLR - unsure what's wrong with your poor old camera there!
