You can't block before the Etali trigger. I mean you can jump the gun and assign the blocker (telegraphing your move). But you still would not resolve combat damage before the trigger as it is an attack trigger.

Swarmlord is just a big non-trample creature. The magus seems like a much better commander. Multiple copies of big creatures seems like a much better plan.

Not gonna lie I didn’t see that coming. When I heard that one of the players is playing Chulane, I automatically considered that player as a loss because I have never in the hundreds or thousands of gamesI’ve seen heard of a Chulane winning before.

I know this video is a year now. But all slit cards while not on the stack have combined mana cost. So you can’t get road/ ruin and cast it with Codie’s effect. The ruling for that was made in 2017. So there is no excuse for this. It’s not even a mess play it’s flat out cheating. Because of this your entire video no good and immediately stopped watching because of it too.

I do love the people complaining about a mono-white Avacyn deck being uncompetitive 😂 Of course its uncompetitive SHE COSTS 8 MANA and doesn't immediately win the game when she is played. She's good, not great, and in a format with pushed commander specific cards, she is borderline bad. You play her because you like the card, you like the flavor, and/or you have fun playing the deck. My Avacyn deck is a Voltron deck that was uncompetitive 8 years ago, but it is fun and to this day is my favorite deck. Play what you want that works in your group

Flavor note. Stoneforged Mystic is not Nahiri. She is one of her acolytes left on the plane to maintain the hedron network. That being said, I run both her and Nahiri in my Avacyn deck XD

Sorry, but this was a crap game. You should have rules to control the combat in order to avoid the same player getting attacked repeatedly. In all play groups i play there's rules about this. It was not a fair gameplay

Did you reveal the tutor off worldly tutor? Any time a tutor allows you to find a specific type of card, it will make you reveal it before putting it in your hand or on top of your library, so you can't cheat and find something else.

Why didnt xenagos player never cast him? He could of had way more explosive attack phases

Games like this remind me that if I'm playing blue, I should include counterspells for pivotal moments. That Shark typhoon/Sigil combo is a dream I've wanted in my own Enchantments deck and was so sad to see how short lived it was.

Elly fell prey to what mine and all Lathril decks do, board wipes. I started amassing ways of protecting my board state and key pieces like Lathril. Be it hexproofing, making indestructible or regenerating, green and black can do these things in spades and now that most boardwipes rarely prevent regeneration you'd be surprised how easy a single success at preventing a board clear from your opponents clenches you the game.

I really like this format for watching EDH gameplay!

Mass land destruction is lame

Your protection cards listed here are sub-optimal, for their costs and effects. Here's a better list that you have omitted: Giver of Runes, Benevolent Bodyguard, Shelter, Sejiri Shelter, Gods Willing, Lightning Greaves, Loran's Escape. There are a lot more options, but those are the best, due to their 1 or 2 mana cost, no additional abilities cost, immediate usability, and cantrip effects.

19:04 Mike couldn't tutor the Omniscience with Academy Rector. She was *exiled* with Merciless Eviction so she never hit the graveyard and thus never triggered.

I absolutely love these precon Commanders deck. I was so lucky to found 3 of the 4 Commander Decks from my Local Game Store, and I bought the last one (the Imperium Deck) from Amazon. So happy!

Be careful! You missed a lot of forsaken monument triggers, two mana discounts from the Ugin planeswalker and also you played that Mirrorpool untapped (it enters the battlefield tapped). I enjoyed the video. Kozilek it's a great and fun commander to play.

The creature lands are STILL lands! The Nissa Planeswalker states it at the end of the card's ult. ability description.
