Hello doctor, I don’t try and crack my neck but if I turn around or use my neck sometimes it just cracks or I hear that crunching sound! I hate it. How do I stop it? Xxx

I am 68 sneezed and fractured 3 lumbar disks, AND WAS TOLD I HAVE osteoporosis and osteoarthritis plus I have a worn out hip neurosis or some name like that. The alendronic acid for the osteoporosis stopped blood supply to my good hip and its not dead bone and crumbly.... I have had osteoporosis for over 20 years as I menopaused in my 40's. I'm terrified of getting a hump back. Unfortunately since my fourties I noticed that I was unable to stand up straight against a wall.... MY NECK IS JUTTING FORWARD VERY BADLY AND I CAN'T CAN'T GET IT BACK AGAINST THE WALL..... is there any hope of fixing this I can't come close to walk angel......the NECK IS THE PROBLEM NOT MY LOWER BACK AND PELVIS....M THEY HURT, BUT I CAN DO IT. NOT A HOPE EVEN WHEN MY THERAPIST TRIED 😮 CAN YOU HELP ME 🙏

They dont hold you in that position. You can still easily slouch.... Its just more comfortable to pull your shoulders back while wearing it. Its a trainer. Meaning you use you own muscles.

They say every airplane landing you can walk away from was a good one. That is how I feel about getting up from the floor. As long as I can get up, I'm happy. These exercises would be hard for a teenager...never mind a senior citizen like myself.

What about spreading your legs apart by more than the width of your body, then squatting, keeping the back straight, and not letting your knees go over 90 degrees? (which is hard to do anyway with the legs apart). Is that a good way to bend?

Thank you for the reminder of how children conquer challenges!! I needed to hear that and your exercises will help me get back to what I could do before I injured my knee.

My doctor told me something like this…” if you can’t get up from sitting on the floor without using your hands, you will be dead in three years.” I told him, in that case I died in gym class in 1962.”

I'm only 39 and I can absolutely not get up from the floor without using my hands, not even if I sit on a yoga block 😅 I'm obese so that might be part of the reason. I'm currently losing weight and I'll add the exercises from the end of this video to my routine. Curious to see if I'll be able to do it in a few months!

Is it really that bad to use your hands to get up off of the floor? I don't understand what is so bad about about it if you need that support

Well im 75, i still run 7-10 miles a week and play walk/run field hockey, i also row about2/3 times a week on my Concept Rower. I walk two dogs each day about 2 miles. I can do the Asian squat, but no way can i stand up using that method. I think it’s dangerous for many reasons, number one it could tear your meniscus. I like the other exercises thanks.
