Having been a fan of hermitcraft and watching of-and-on since season one, I like to think of seasons one as the inception, iconic and crucial but ultimately pitiful in comparison. Season two required hermitcraft to establish what it was about, with players coming and going and the season having two distinct parts o it. Seadon three is when hermitcraft matured and shed its last vestiges of unprofessionalism, with all players firmly committing by the end of the season. Season four onwards is to me the professional era, though I'll be honest, I stopped watching and didn't really get back untill season seven, but it seems to me as though each season progressed from eachother, getting ever grander, culminating in season seven. Season seven was quite unique in not having a dedicated spawn community area besides the shopping district, which sort of forced the hermits to just start big wherever they chose to go. Season eight was a departure being cut short, but seems to be a model for further seasons. Season nine progressed from season seven in grandeur, but took the spirit of community from season eight with an impressive spawn village where hermits regularly interact, although the hermits would eventually make their megabases further away. Season ten so far seems to have a similar idea to season eight, making the hermits settle early and combining into a few communities, while also establishing a separate commercial district. I'm really hoping the experiment of season eight pays of. So far at least the hermits seem to be building big AND interacting a lot, and that's really combining the best of seasons seven and eight.

As much as I'm curious how Xisuma, Etho or xB look like, I'd never want to pressure any of them into face revealing. I respect people's privacy, and even if I would be able to recognize them in public by their voice, I'd stay silent about it in a public crowd. If I had a chance to speak to them more in private, then I'd probably be open about it, maybe exchange some words. But I'd never go into such an extreme to reveal their identity online. Not only is that incredibly rude to do so, it's also illegal. And I don't want to be seen as a criminal doxxing someone who wants to remain anonymous. That doesn't fit my values in the slightest.

Pretty good ranking video, however I'd disagree with some of these personally. First, *[No.16]* The chain of events that was caused by Jimmy's death and the way it affected Tango's video was honestly amazing and just for that alone it deserves to be higher. Second, *[No.14]* Scott and Pearl's first death is one of my favourites in the entire series, not just Double Life - First, Joel finally managed to redeem himself and his use of the crossbow rocket preload tech _(One of my favourite things in the entire game)_ by proving its insane effectiveness in combat. Plus, the fact that he killed Scott exactly in the same way he killed Pearl last season (Last Life) is just poetic. Third, *[No.9]* Joel and Etho's death is easily in the top 5 most iconic Double Life deaths for sure, not certain why'd you place it this far lower. Numbers *8 and 7* I'd personally place lower, it was just the two most stereotypical Scar deaths imaginable - Curiousity *(And obliviousness, and also lack of critical thinking, and also complete disregard of safety)* killed the cat. They were the kind of deaths Grian was anticipating from Scar from the very start he found out about them being soulmates. Scar jumping into a pit full of a trillion zombies and then going near a very obviously boobytrapped pile of TNT is simply another Scar death that just burdained Grian if anything. *No.6* is also in the top 3 most iconic deaths for me, it was what started Pearl's personna of the Scarlet Witch - Easily the most timeless part of Double Life. The acting from Pearl there is way too raw and powerful to ever disregard. Meanwhlie No.5 has no rights being this high, it was just a generic trapped nether portal kill, from a trap that Grian made earlier this session and COMPLETELY forgot about. And at last, *[No.2]* THIS right here, is easily the most legendary kill in the entirety of Life Series in my opinion, and I'm sure of many others' too. The sheer insanity of the stalactide timing and the accident of it hitting the wrong target (Pretty sure Grian wanted to kill Etho and Joel with it), thus ruining Grian's secret link with BigB was just crazy. I have genuinely no idea why you ranked Scott and Pearl's final death as No.1. This is a pretty controversial personal opinion of mine, but... Aside from being the final death of the series, there's NOTHING special about this one. Scott pulls his usual schtick of _''haha let's make a completely un-interesting finale by comitting suicide, oh boi so epic!''_ and I just couldn't care about it. Yes, Pearl was the GOAT of the season and ABSOLUTELY deserved the win, being the one to kill both of the last remaining three pairs, but for certain it could've been done in a more interesting way... Yeah sure I understand that it was supposed to be Scott redeeming himself after tossing Pearl behind in the first episode, but once again, it was really done in a generic and uninteresting way, with the two just *staring* each other as the former blew himself up. I can understand why people like this finale, but I'm not one of them, and if anything I don't think it's hard to agree upon that Grian's kill was way more of an iconic part of the series.

a few things now that bdubs uploaded his limited life video (12 HOURS LONG) he actually ended session 5 on 10;00 instead of 09;00 (he never lost his second hour for the boogey death) he also ended session 6 on 07;00 instead of 06;30 (he never got his 30 min for killing skizz) he did still end session 7 on 02;00 (he didn't get 30 min when the wolf killed scar) (also i used semicolons instead of colons so they wouldn't make blue timestamps)

After Secret Life I feel like Scar's Ranking has gone up quite a bit and Mumbo's down quite a bit. Scar went Pearl levels of unhinged at the end. And all of Mumbo's deaths were due to stupidity reasons. Now if we're including Gem into the list... I'd throw her possibly ALREADY in the Top 5.

This is the only comment that I really hope gets attention because SHOVEL241 is also another great contender. He is currently making one of the craziest original Minecraft map based on a book THAT HE WROTE HIMSELF. He also has one of the best editing in the platform. Really wish you put him in this video

Season 6 is my favourite

The problem is you have great minecraft youtubers and then you have great minecraft builders. For example Bdubs is undoubtedly one of the best EVER builders on mc but his personality might not be for everyone. Therefore people overlook his talents when compiling a list like this. People like Grian have a likable personality but their building skills are definitely not on the same level. You can't really compare entertainment with skill in my opinion and very few get the balance right.

Dang, I'd *LOVE* to see that version of Hermitcraft seaon 7! The one we've got with the mycelium resistance is probably better, but just imagining a Mumbo-Grumbot puppet government versus Grian and one of his wacky resistances that eventually leads to falure and Grian's doom is just the coolest thing ever.

the biggest reason why scott is so good and in these is because he's CALCULATED, every decision he makes is smart and he doesn't take risks or make enemies unless it's necessary. in last life he, pearl and later cleo were attempted to be trapped many times, but managed to survive and were themselves relatively peaceful. he was the only one who made the decision to fail his boogeyman curse willingly, knowing if he tried to kill anyone it would cause unnecessary tension. in double life his decision to pair with cleo instead of pearl, his soulmate, was in itself really clever - as it was said many times, having two separate health bars and two teammates safe away gave them both a huge advantage in any pvp situation. when pearl got chased away by the boat boys for stealing their stuff, he just casually set his spawn, knowing he will respawn there a moment later - i think this clip perfectly summarizes scott's attitude during the games as a whole. and, of course, he ended up sacrificing himself at the end of this season - a common theme in scott's pov. he's sacrificing himself so often! in limited life he managed to accumulate a ton of time and be one of the last green names just by staying on the down low, claiming his boogeyman reward so early in the session he knew it won't come back to bite him later. he initiated very little fights, mostly being the one who got chased himself. he sacrificed himself again - a lot, limited life giving time back after every kill making it a valuable resource. and, finally (for now), in secret life the sacrifices make a comeback again, in the most massive way - ALL THREE of scott's deaths this season were a deal or sacrifice. he gave two of his lives to gem, one of his closest allies, in hopes she will carry his legacy and win. he didn't care for bravery or battle glory, the only thing which mattered being simple math - i have two and a half hearts, you have more - if someone else kills me and gets the ten, we will be in a much worse position. i can't stress enough how smart scott acts in the life series. he's always calm, is never a big enemy of anyone, and his every action has a purpose. that, and his skills with the bow, of course - it what makes him so scary. before secret life, people have even been talking about a scott curse/condition - every winner has been scott himself, one of scott's allies, or pearl who was his soulmate. this just shows how good and powerful of an ally he is, too.

I love this wholr storyline and the implications, because it actually ties perfectly well with the AU that I'm making for my DreamSMP fanfic, the basics for my version is that there are 6 plains of reality, the overworld, the nether, the end, the afterlife, the in between and the other side, the most interesting ones would be the overworld, the in between and the other side, the in between is where most time travelers go, while the other side is where dimension hoppers go, the other side is pretty complex and doesn't exactly make sense if nor explained in detail, but to get to it, you either must ve a dimension hopper, or have a gateway, ones like the rift, once in the other side, you can basically hope into alternative universes and dimensions, such as hopping from hermitcraft to empires SMP and from them to even the dream SMP, the other side is also the homeland of formless demonic creatures called "dreamons" and they thrive and griw stronger the more choas and blood shed and negativity there is, no matter how it's obtained, i can easily say that the entity from HC S9 was a wayward dreamon from the other side that came through the rift that was essentially a gateway to and from it, and itvwould actually make a lot of sense without clashing with the storyline of HC, my Fanfic, the majority of the dreamSMP and Minecraft lore as well!
