There should be an honorable mention for the RX 5700 non-XT... it can save a few bucks, by shaving a few cores... but also noticably runs at a much lower TDP.

If we're going lower, than the 5600xt deserves a mention too, same number of cores as the 5700 non xt, clocked lower. The actual problem is 6gb of vram, but it'll still beat out an Rx 580 8gb if your budget can't quite stretch to the 5700.

I love that the second card you got is ELSA branded. Sure it's not the same ELSA from before but as someone who built computers in the late 90s, early 2000s, it's a special memory. If you don't know why, their drivers were a lot more stable and had special features not found in NVidia ones vaguely in the pre-Geforce era. And you could actually use them on any NVidia GPUs. Plus the cards had a super stable pixel clock and excellent output quality for high refresh rate gaming on high-end Diamondtron and Trinitron CRT monitors of the day, which was sort of rare when buying an NVidia card, though ATI and Matrox cards have all been OK, but they had other drawbacks making them sort of useless. My favourite only semi-useful card is for sure 3DLabs Permedia 2 though. SOYO of your third card is also an ancient brand, but not a particularly exciting one. Of course also not the same company that it used to be. 2060Super are sort of hot but yeah the feature set is EXCELLENT and the performance is fine for everything you'd like to throw at it so far. I got one as well, just a used one that needed some care. RX5000 series has bad availability in my region and i am not happy with the feature set, and anything older gen is plain obsolete, which is to say, near $70 that you paid you can't do much better than that rx580, but this does come with limitations.

If your playing old titles (like 2 years or older), and/or don't care that the chip is technically EOL (just security updates only) then a 580 is great for $60. However for newer titles it's best to stick to a 5700 at around 108 (non XT) or 6600 for around 120-130. Thanks to games like Allen Wake 2 and games that run on Unreal Engine 5 even mid range 5000/6000 Radeon cards are going to struggle at 1080p nowadays.

For some reason, this is the video that got through to me, that it would be good to lower my standards. I already knew you could make incredibly solid builds for as low as $660 (12100f, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, cheap 600w psu, 7600, 50 dollar case), but this vid did show me, lower isn't explicitly worse. I already can't run 1440p (monitor literally can't), so what do I care for 1440p? I only have a 165Hz monitor, so what do I care for insane frame-rates. A 7600 could max me out, but a 6650 or 6600, or 5700xt would get damn close and cost an arm and leg less. Unless I'm willing to pump up to more vram, it really doesn't matter what I get.

Stuff like Alan Wake has really turned things on its heads in terms of what GPU's are worth it from a longevity point of view. The 5700(xt) don't support mesh shaders which means you're going to get way worse performance in that game compared to the 2060 super. Anything from the Nvidia 2000 series onwards and the AMD RX 6000 series supports mesh shaders, so you wanna try and get either of those if possible for future game compatibility.

Here’s my obligatory 2060 Super praise comment… I can personally vouch for this card, it’s performance is incredible for the price. I distinctly recall Forza Horizon 5 @ 1440p High preset running at 60FPS… withOUT DLSS. Only replaced it because I wanted high refresh rate, high resolution performance at ultra settings.

Saving a bit more for the two high priced tier options will net you an RX6600 which will keep you set for at least 5 years.

I'm running an RX 5600 XT, Ryzen7 3700 and 32GB of RAM. Do you think it's worth it to upgrade to 2060 or RX 5700 XT? Thanks for any help. God bless and Jesus loves you.

LOVE YOU, MY MAN!! I'M SUBBING AFTER WATCHING YOUR MULTITASKING VIDEOS. OMG YOU MUST DO MORE OF THEM!!! everyone else is too scared of the variability and whatever else Steve from GN was whining about. maybe if he stopped playing with his hair he could do some actual work and provide regular multitasking benchmarks everytime. but you know he won't cause he and the HUB/Techspot guys are all primadonnas who won't get their hands dirty.

Idk if he said this but would these pcs be good not only for playing games but also streaming them or recording them? Let’s throw in editing as well. ❤

When comparing the 2060 Super and RX 5700 XT, you should look into 1440p gaming - Because they'll do it and one is clearly superior yo the other. Bonus points, it reduces CPU useage sonetimes so you can get away with a more budget CPU.

😀 always loved the 580 for budget builds :)

Why go on about how these cards are great in a $500 PC and then put them in a system where the CPU alone would make up around half that price? The numbers are pretty much worthless because the cards won't be able to achieve that in an actual $500 system.
@da3sii Жыл бұрын
you can get the 5500 for around 70$ ?
@voteDC Жыл бұрын
@@da3sii He's testing the cards in a system that uses a Ryzen 5 7600, which retails for around $230, with 32GB of DDR5 RAM which is around $100. That's $330 gone before even thinking about the price of a motherboard or the other components. Why go on about how great the performance of the cards is in a $500 system and then test them in a PC that would cost far more to put together. This makes the numbers worthless because in a system with a 5500 and DDR4 they aren't going to reach the same numbers.

I enjoyed the video, but the RX 5700 XT smokes an RTX 2060 Super. A 5700 XT will usually beat a 2070 Super, so it's two tiers above the 2060 Super. Although I do prefer the nVIDIA software suite as you do.

Another great but is rx6600 with support for AFMF and mesh shaders In my country it's $140-150
@cicalinarrot Жыл бұрын
I'd try to spend more and go RX 6600. Not as old (will be supported for longer), you find a new one for under 200€ in here (including taxes, 2 years warranty), decent performance/price ratio.

I found a geo force Rtx 4061 ti (new) on Amazon for 188.00. 8gig. But then I started feeling bad cause what I needed was sometime larger than 8 gig. Then I looked again and found the same card by the same vendor a 16 gig version for same price😮. So I tried to cancel the 8 gig, to get the 16 gig version. Amazon wouldn’t let me do that…so I’ll have to return one of them…. Then I found out that the 4060 Ti at 16 gig has some bad reviews. The GPUs I had that came with the computer was a rtx 3050, then I swapped it out for a rtx 7600, I was able to return the rtx 7600 for the 4060 it…..for 188.00 a good deal?

Guide me on my 1st pc build - my pick: 3060 12gb, i7 13700kF, 32gb RAM. I play no games but into unreal, blender and unity for AR MR development. Kindly guide me. My budget is under 800- 1000€. Also recommend suitable case, motherboard, cooling sys and other components(upgradable)for the build.

@drago939393 Жыл бұрын
In raw power it beats these cards and will have some software support. If he recommends these cards, surely he recommends the 1080 as well - if the price is even half decent!

Very funny the RX 580's box design is just an Nvidia box with the serial numbers taken off for a Radeon card.
