Matthew, 12:25: “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.” If they want to built a New World they have to destroy the old.

many folks say this song is disparaging towards humans... but, while yes, we can be ...um... decisive... this song is from the angel's pov... you know... those chumps that don't have a choice in anything. seems like someone is jealous that they can't fight over everything for no reason, just because you can.

This is one of the best of the dozens and dozens reaction videos for this song. The alternative takes of the same sessions emphasize how the stars aligned perfectly on this particular take and how unique, improvised and creative the solo really is.

I first heard Royksopp's music in a TV ad in Ireland in 2001. It took me months to identify the bands name but once i did, I've been hooked ever since. They're still very much active, and literally just dropped new album with 30 odd tracks last week called Nebulous Nights - well it is an ethereal rework of their last 3 in 1 album "profound Mysteries". As time goes on their music is just getting better. If you're interested in reacting to more of their work, I'd recommend "The drug" from 2010 - it's not actually my favourite but it's certainly up there. It reminds me of euro or even british 90's electronic dance music, and the video gives a dystopian feel to it mixed with the nostalgic music. There's not many electronic groups out there that produce songs with such depth and warmth as Royksopp, plus they have some excellent guest singers like Roybn, Jamie Irrepressible, and the brilliant Susanne Sundfør . There's surprisingly not that many reaction video's out there to but yours is probably the most thoughtful, so thanks for this :)

Thanks so much for your comments. I don’t know many Royksopp fans and wasn’t sure this video would get much in the way of views. I need to go and listen to their more recent catalog, they are sooooo good. I’m a big music video fan and this is my favorite.

Using single-double pedal in that speed mean that you need to put your foot on switch between two beats to activate double speed on pedal that's the action of the feet need to be out of sync with rhythm in that time. Meanwile, did you see how he pull second stick from his right hand after he use both of sticks on that hat? I suppose that you did not realise when this moment happend and where he pull this second stick.😀

Ren is not claiming that money is the root of all evil. it’s our reaction to money that CAN lead to evil. he clearly describes both negatives AND positives that can come from money in the song

There were FOUR keyboard players on this session: Cory Henry (the soloist), Shaun Martin (the guy shaking his head at Cory's magic), and by the way, he was NOT playing that bass ostinato under the keys solo, that was being done by either Justin Stanton or Bill Laurence, and Mike League *is* also playing that ostinato on electric bass

Also, to your question "How different the final thing is from what we are about to see" - what you hear here *is* the final audio product, after all post-production. The actual question would be "how different is the monitor mix that everyone in the room is hearing during the recording from this final post-production audio that has been synced to the original video?"
@mgbasinski16 күн бұрын
To the comments at the beginning about recording in the studio (layers/multiple sessions vs 2 pencil mikes, you get what you get, etc) Snarky IS doing something in between - this is why you see everyone with headphones. All tracks are recorded live with the audience (for the energy), no edits, no overdubs, but they DO do multiple takes - they typically rent a space for multiple nights, do 2 sets a night, so they get 4 or more takes of every tune and can pick the best one. BUT, the mics in the room are for the horns and drums / percussion only, all the guitars and keys are NOT heard in the room, but are captured in the recording process (and heard in the overall monitor feed mix over the headphones); THEN they can do a lot of post-production - EQ, mixing, they even do stuff like "re-amping" the guitars (take the recorded direct guitar and run though some other amp in post-production). There are some very interesting videos out there, e.g. this one which is an extended interview with their recording engineers about the sessions done in Dallas in 2022 : kzbin.info/www/bejne/eV6naKGVjq6YgZI

I have to second the no censorship comment, yes its bad language, but it's in context and therefore should be listened to. It's not swearing for the sake of it. It's expression.. Great reaction this time dudes.. Last one I watched was your Hi Ren, too many bleeps in that one.. Much better effort.👍🏼👍🏼😁

Are there bleeps in our hi ren reaction? I didn’t bleep anything and when I watched it it didn’t have any bleeps. I would never do that to another artists work. I’m wondering if KZbin is bleeping it for some viewers?

Sorry i am late- but you are right and wrong the love of money can cause people to do evil things. but knowledge is the root of all evil because without knowledge there would be no envy , jealousy or want and desire. If there wasnt knowledge there would be no need. Renegade mic drop! And these next 4 years will be all about money and hate of thy neighbors. there is no room from prophets in profit. We must protect REN! LOL

Let the pastor check out 'Hi Ren'! Ren is a prophet ( and I don't mean it as blasphemy!) His health suffering brought him to the abyss and he thought he would die soon. So he created music that he wanted to be remembered by and it turns out that, while he will struggle for the rest of his life, he gave so many of the suffering a reason to fight on! He has another song ' suic..e which was banned from yt for a while. Until it turned out that this song turned many away from the ledge!

Ren wants us all to be more actively kind toward one another. He acknowledges how complicated things have become everywhere and emphasizes tolerance. He is very against the two party system. He wants us to work as a collective mind to form a better system not so easily corrupted. He’s aware of the complications involved in his little ask. Gotta love him!🤣❤️

For something completely different, Ren had a band called The Big Push, they do a harmony track called Swan song with a couple of the band members well worth a listen. They do original and covers and did a lot of busking in Brighton and London.
