Hey girl! That is such fabulous amazing incredible news!!!! What an honor! Will be looking forward to seeing the properties they have you showcase! Definitely want to thank you for inspiration me. I recently suffered a back injury that has had me out of work suddenly and I took the time to research publishing coloring books on Amazon and was able to make my time stuck in bed super productive creating a set of books for preschool/kindergarten age kids, because that is the age my son is lol, and they should be up on KDP soon! I hadn't really been aware of the ability to self publish coloring and activity books on Amazon until watching your video about your own awesome books. Haha you should have seen how excited my son was to see the little capybara cuties in your yard in your garden tour video. They were adorables! We keep watching, hopefully helping that watched time go up and up for ya girl. Heyyyyyyy, on a much more serious note, has there been any local talk about our new Pres declaring the USA is going to take the Panama Canal?! Oh gosh my heart absolutely hit the floor when I saw that news. The ripple effect could be catastrophic for expats in all central and south American countries! If he does try it, I'd imagine the possibility of borders closing to US residents and changes in local indigenous peoples attitudes towards people from the US! I really really hope I can get my family out before anything crazy like that gets set in motion. Hoping and praying that nothing more comes of his statement and somebody in Washington has the good sense to prevent any more threats of that nature against the beautiful countries we should all be friends with.

OMG! That is so cool about you creating coloring books!!! Congratulations - and I'm so glad you found something interesting and fun to do while laid up a bit. Thank you for letting me know, really gave me a big smile. Ugh, the statement from the president elect 🤦♀There were protests outside of the US embassy and of course the statement by President Mulino. But Panama has a very forgiving past towards the US and I don't know how that will continue with Donald's threats. I recently watched a clip where he said he would not rule out military intervention. That was quite alarming. The Honduran President recently stated they will consider terminating the use of land the US is using for a military base. So, he's not making any favorable actions towards Central and South America. There are maga people here in Panama, who actually support this idea. Some of them are former Zonians. If he keeps making threats, especially if he continues to leave military options open, it will definitely have a negative impact on those of us living here. How could it not? I'm glad I'm here in Panama. But I'm concerned for global stability due to his threats and insatiable desire for power and control.

Just curious? Did you drive an electric car or gas car to Panama? Americans bought, paid, built and died (25,000 died), building the Canal. If it’s true that they are charging outrageous amounts for our ships to cross then kudos for Trump for speaking up! And if they are working with the Chinese now then I’m totally on board with him. That Canal is hugely important to America and if any of this is true then Mulino needs to make it right, no way China should be able to be involved (hell all expats there should worry about that)and fair prices need to be given. Wish you hadn’t gotten political on your vids as I did enjoyed them prior to this one.
@coletteholder71734 күн бұрын
Correction the majority of the workers that built the canal were Afro-Caribbean men from Jamaica, Barbados, St. Lucia and other Caribbean islands. Get your facts right before you write any comments on social media.
@Bluebird-farm4 күн бұрын
@ i stand corrected 26,000 total around 6000 Americans, still a considerable amount of American and other lives, French being the most at 20K+. The United States paid approximately $375 million to build the Panama Canal, which included $10 million paid to Panama and $40 million to the French company that initially attempted the project. The construction was funded by American taxpayers and was considered the most expensive construction project in U.S. history at that time. So again if we are being ripped off and China is moving in then he has a very legitimate gripe as we all do and should.
@Pattybluehayes4 күн бұрын
@@Bluebird-farm I’m sorry my words upset you but 1. The US did not ‘buy’ the canal. 2. China has invested in bridge and rail infrastructure projects in Panama. There is no Chinese authority or governance of the canal. 3. The passage rates are the same for all vessels, the US is not charged more. President elect has a history of claiming things are unfair when they are just business policies. 4. President elect has a grievance against Panama for being evicted from trump tower for money laundering and non-payment. The project was called The Ocean Club. 5. I bought a car here, it’s gas. Electric cars are not prevalent here.
@Bluebird-farm4 күн бұрын
@ no but we tax payers paid and died for it and in my mind we should get charged less than others, especially the Chinese, we the tax payer end up paying for those higher prices in the cost of goods, right now its outrageous as you know, reason your living there now im sure, it all adds up. I have a serious problem with people starting a channel and going political, reason i try and watch ones that don’t. But I can tell by this vid you would like to start using it to promote your woke views so unfortunately I’m out. Shooting fireworks off is destroying the environment? Panamanians among many other countries have done it for centuries as a gathering and celebration gesture. Im sorry but I totally disagree with you, my family and I enjoy it, it’s beautiful to watch and to know people are gathering as family to enjoy. Do what you want but your initial vids showing Panama were good, don’t let your hatred for Trump ruin your channel
@hilariowilson55704 күн бұрын
The ships crossing the canal are all charged the same rates, regardless of the flag they fly. It’s based on tonnage. A large number are actually registered under Panama’s flag for many decades. Many of the dead from the canal construction were West Indians, contracted from Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad, in case you didn’t know. There were others from China, Turkey, Greece, Italians and Spaniards as well. The convicted felon has spread another one of his lies, similar to the “they are eating the cats and dogs”. If you took the time to actually visit Panama and the canal you can show the world were the Chinese have taken over, you’re likely to find more Americans living there than you would imagine, in peace and not being victimized for who they are. Panama is Panama and is free to do business with who ever she chooses, just like the United States does, the difference is Panama has always looked to the US primarily. However, the convicted felon is the biggest threat to that friendship which dates back to the 1850’s when the Panama Railroad was built, to carry thousands of US citizens from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean on their way to California . It may be more fruitful to read a few books about the relationship and history of Panama and the United States, than it is to listen to the rattling of a pathological liar,who by the way fails to mention he lost a legal case involving a building which carried his name in Panama City, now the JW Marriott. Likely he’s more guided by his reknown sense of vengeance any time his tiny brain senses he’s disrespected, than any true interest about the canal.

Good for you! Don’t listen to the “Besserwisser” as we say in Germany. The people who know everything better. Don’t listen to the people, who we called friends, they never said something. But when something gets wrong in our lives, they are the 1st ones who say: “I told you so. / I never liked this woman/ man.” Plans for life? Holy! I was a guy who planned every 5 years ahead. Until I gave up to plan anything in my mid 30’s. My plans never worked out. The “not having a plan part” was if I am looking back in my life, the better part. Because I couldn’t change anything about what happened in the world. Had an apprenticeship as a car mechanic in Germany. After 3 years I got my red seal. And a draft letter from the German military! First I thought: Wait a second. I’m the youngest of 4 kids! How come I got the letter? As it turns out. My 2 older brothers never showed up in their system. I was the lucky one who got the draft letter. 😮 After military service, I thought: Cool. Get back to the car mechanic part I loved. Well…. Oil and energy crisis! Nobody needed car mechanics! 😢 And so it did go on, and on in my life. Plans? Forget it! With 41, divorce. New start? Where. I got accidentally a paper in my hands at the human resource center in my city: “Truck drivers needed for Canada. Apply via email.” Via email? That was new - to me. Applied in the morning. Got the job in the evening on the phone. I wasn’t even thinking. 2 months later I’m sitting in the airplane to Canada. I never did plan that! Plans? After 12 years, my relationship got sour in Canada. I needed a clear head. Going back to Germany? No. Friend of mine is from Panama. So he told me how warm Panama was. 5 months Panama then…. Well. That was my plan! The crazy world meant it again differently than I had planned. Again. I honestly didn’t plan the pandemic 😷! So I was stranded in Panama. Now I’m already 5 years in Panama. Why? Canada didn’t want permanent residents in their airplanes ✈️. 2 years I tried to return. After my last online application was again denied, I just had enough! Sold everything. - Well. My girlfriend did - and she sold or gave away everything. I couldn’t do anything about it. That’s life! 😂 New year resolution? I normally never do. But for 2025 I am “planning” (ouch!) to finish my house I am building by myself. But you all know what happens when I am starting to plan something….. 😂
