I'm surprised by some of the media approach to Pecco - he seems to have had his drink driving crash brushed under the carpet. Jorge Martin doesn't really grab me as a racing watcher, principally because he rarely admits a mistake - of which there are many. Marc, for example, usually admits when he makes a mess. Jorge also has a massive chip on his shoulder about not getting the factory ride - I think he doesn't understand that there's more to being a factory rider than just being fast.

I think the Gonzalez situation is going to get resolved by swapping Binder and Gonzalez 4 races before originally planned. Gresini will go to IntactGP with their plight, and I don't see why they would be unwilling to support the rider that they've already signed for next year.

Chinese money should not be in the sport at all if we are sensitive to human rights, dictatorship, terrorism etc. Motogp cows down to Qatar as well for lots of $'s. There is talk of a Saudi round, but this kid is a villian and we are worried about chinese hurt feelings. Seriously.

I think it's a bit sad that there's so much focus on turning Honda and Yamaha into clones of Ducati and Aprilia. Yes I know that the Japanese are having problems at the moment, but as far as I know, the NSR 500, RC211V and the YZR was not designed by Italiens. They should open up the rules, to give us different engine configurations and ditch all the airo- ride height.

The “rivalry” you’re describing is what is now referred to as toxic masculinity. Sportsmen like Roger and Rafa showed us that you can be at the top of the game, going head to head for years, without having o behave like a child. I’m loving the current climate. And I think MM93 has also matured in the face of his previous challenges. You guys in the media need to find something else to do.

I think the sad thing with Joe is he's stuck with American racing. Even missing out on the Trackhouse ride, you'd have thought there'd have been options for a ride at better more successful teams. Now it sadly seems he's stuck where he is for the rest of his GP career.

I disagree on the topic of "rivalry", and I think one of you were spot on when you said it's what you and specific people in commentary want, I as well dislike that kind of juvenile stuff as one of you guys said. The thing about FB63 and JM89 as riders, audience is underestimating them (I as well do), rightfully or wrongly. What I mean about that is, just like F1, when rider(s) have dominant car/bike, their success is not equal to when there are multiple riders on the similar speed cars/bikes in fight. There is the difference between MM93 and others, he dominated everyone regardless of the bike he's given, even now in his 30's, he does the same thing. That's his appeal, and why he is what he is, people can recognize that, it's not a petty drama and nonsense. I mean who else qualifies on any track with almost 1 second advantage over the 2nd rider (without even trying hard to add)? That's why Marc is what he is. That's also the reason why I have high hopes for David Alonso once he moves to MotoGP, we need such special riders (he might completely flop on Moto2 tho., I doubt, but it is a possiblity). So, JM89 move to Aprilia isn't that bad for him, if he proves to the audience that he's worth more than just a bike he rides, people will recognize that, if he, as many people suspect will fall down the order just like Espargaro and Vinales, that's the risk he takes.

Adam, are you serious!!! Regarding the cultural arena when talking and living motorcycle racing it should not be a valid conversation especially based back in the ages of 1940's... Politics are not welcome here in motorsport and Dave, you need a reaming too..... This sport is multicultural and how dare you believe a sponsor has control over being an individual is gobsmacking STUPID!!!! I have just lost heaps of respect for you boys as you see corporations rule over individuality based on money invested. Pffffffff, disappointed big time. An Aussie

Emmett was captain of the woke indignation brigade when VR46 courted ARAMCO and keen to point out Saudi Arabia's appalling record on human rights 3 years ago. Now the Chinese are here and throwing money around, sportwashing isn't an issue and teams should dance to their tune? And when the most famous rivalry in history came to a head at the end of 2015, Emmett had harsh words for the protagonists and lamented that the affair was a dark and sordid tale which had exposed the unpleasant side of racing. Now, boring riders are too nice and he wants a punch-up?

Hello, GREAT podcast. I just needed to vent a little on the rules application this weekend. Marc’s Q2 time, no advantage was gained, not even 0.001, that is why it is sooooo ridiculous. Plus, if the system has an issue and with how little the green paint was touched, it should, have been waved due to the fact that their was a problem and no time was left for the rider to try again. Also, how come Pedro was able to keep his time, makes nooooo sense either. They say he was too close to the incident, not at all. He passed several seconds after martin’s crashed. Very strange and frustrating rules application. Robed fans from a very special moment in Q2 and possibly the races.

My ride of the weekend was Ai Ogura. All the other slick riders were the sort you expect to take a chance, all his title competitors went with the wets. To go with the slicks, be back in 14th after the first lap, and finish 2nd, taking a massive gap in the championship. It was the opposite of Martin at San Marino, taking that chance and it playing off.

Who is riding a KTM R16 faster? FFS give the kid a break. I only hope this bike does not breed some bad habits. It took Marques ages on a Ducati to overcome come Hondaitis. I am sorry he came down, but I can do nothing but admire the talent. If you ain't as good, can't do it, don't criticize.
