PlanetSide 2 flight mechanic is the most weirdest, and I'm sure all new players, even with flight experience, will have a very hard time to understand. I just don't understand why the game dev make it this way. It's worse that they don't even provide any tutorials for it.

Great video! I've been hunting for a good aircraft guide as I just got into the game! Even now your guide stands the test of time and I appreciate at certain parts where you recommend or tell us if its more personal choice as aircraft have so many styles. reaver and havoc is suuuupppper easy. No need to aim just point roughly in the direction of the enemy and off he goes.

Could just be me being dumb but in the video on the banking turn the instruction was to press A or D in the opposite direction from the roll. In this video you say it should be the same direction. Guess i'll try both and see what works. Apologies if i've misunderstood.

i dont really see how this helps since i see no real difference with just using the mouse to turn :/ i use the scythe, and pressing the A key (i use qwerty) seems very useless, i am a lot deceived. I fly using the first person to begin.

Even though it's now 6 years old by the time I write this, this video,along with your other flight videos, have really helped me, and others, get better at flying. I thought would not be able to understand how to fly in PS2, but you changed that, and I thank you 🙏

Thrid seat use for an engi that places tank mines when going up against tanks. Or if your driving into a base have them drop the empire based mines and a spitfire turret. Its really annoying when you think about it but thats the key its it? Rest of the time they should be ready to repair

Wrel mentions in his other video that there is a certain sound que that let's you know when you can start the reverse maneuver but it can only be heard from a 3rd person view, if I remember correctly he says it makes a different sound for all of the esfs that sound like the air is 'rumbling'. Well also mentions that when you tilt your esf he says wait for gravity to start pulling you down and then you can start to ascend or ascend and afterburner in the direction you want to go. Hope this helps for the people that are struggling.

Can someone please explain how to do step four as I can slow down bank right and hold a but if I swing my mouse in the opposite direction it just levels me out I really cant seem to get the hang of it.

On ps4 tilt your esf in the direction you want to start doing the maneuver while holding down your left analog stick to stop movement with your esf, after you do that wait for gravity to take effect then ascend and or afterburner and ascend, hope this helps!

This guide is too superficial it's not showing anything that in-depth. Like how you maneuver around the mountain like that and such. Gotta see which buttons you press, how you move your mouse about. I tried to do the same maneuvers on the mountains in VR for hours and didn't get to understand how you can even do that.
