Thank you for doing a good job with our music in the background and actually explaining things. I hope you have some more current versions of this not so old. Five years is a long time ago and galaxy far far away. Would like to see something on proper placement and where I need to locate it. I only have 70 mm x 70 mm. It's good for starting and learning. Do you have any beginner courses available in your listings of other videos?

Do These instructions apply to any fiber, laser . I have. Genmitsu Z5-1 Fiber Laser can you do something more current years software? Or has software not changed that much. Every time I go to the textbook and type something, it doesn't change it still says the same thing text. how do I change that? I just wanna start with functions and then I'll work my way up. I've been using Lightburn for the last two years, almost 3 with my other three lasers. Fiber lasers brand new just got it yesterday I thought I would start with something simple and not too expensive at first get to know it and then move onto something more powerful later, but I didn't want to spend too much on a limited budget.

slate? Do you mean slate as in a rock? Not sure fiber can do that. you might need a Co2 laser to engrave on rock

Is there a reason you used 4hi instead of 4 low? Will be heading out there soon in a ram rebel, trying to see best configuration. Great video, great advice!

4lo was too low. I shifted the transmission manually between 1 and 2.

ezcad is such a lousy program for importing anything. Not a single SVG (or any other type) has imported correctly. Can't even use the laser my company purchased for doing customer images because no image will import without problems. Letters get broken up and to may things have to be fixed and then nothing hatches in a usable way. It would be nice if I could just search for perfect images off the internet but in reality, in a business setting, you get the file you get and have to work with that. You tell the customer you need an SVG. They send an SVG and it's unusable. Then what?

What kind of laser are you using? Also, how deep can that laser go. Like say for instance you want to engrave a revolver barrel

It’s a Fiber Laser, we use one for our engravings.

@TheClampetts2 жыл бұрын
About how deep is that final result? I copied all your parameters and ran a job. I told it to do 60x, because you had yours set to 10 and you said you had to do it 5 times. My image was as large as my machine could do - about 145mm wide and 100 high in 4 lines of text. Each pass was about 30 seconds, so the thing ran for something like 2 hours, due to 60x for each of the two pens, plus the cross-hatching. so I realized later it was actually some 240 passes. It was on 3/8" plate. Initially I was concerned it might burn through. I needn't have worried - I was surprised I only got about 1/16" depth, using 80% power with 50w fiber laser. Yours looks more like about 1/8" deep, but maybe not.
@Aj-sx2km2 жыл бұрын
Well that is a huge engrave so yeah it is going to take some time. You may try to break it up and do one letter at a time. This video is a small engrave. Hatch pattern, Frequency, and power all affect the depth. Experiment with scrap.

Red light pointer not showing from yesterday....marking is working... Help me to fix this problem
@Aj-sx2km2 жыл бұрын
If it was working and stoped, you may have a bad power switch for the pointer or the pointer died. The pointer is a small red laser unit in the head. You may have to open the head and look. Also it may have fallen out of the mount in the head. Good luck

Know this, if you are in the business of engraving the ,"Firearm," part of a gun, you are supposed to have a gunsmith FFL. If you stipple, repair, or install parts or any modification of what ATF calls the firearm, you can not keep it in your possession overnight. It must be returned to the customer the same day, unless you have an FFL. Said firearm would have to be logged in and out. You also must provide the means to secure it, just like a dealer or other FFL.

Do the 2 red dots have anything to do with the prime focus? My 2 red dots come together at 25mm on my vertical axis and I have a 110mm lens
@ajimachining25373 жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean by 2 red dots. I only have one. But your red dot should coincide with your prime focus. So you may need to bring them together at that point or you may have a hard time aligning you engraving.
