Hi. Sorry to bother you with that but the string retainer is actually that metal holed in the back of the body for each string. The one you installed is called string guide tree or just string tree. I’m telling you that because I’m looking fore someone who can teach me how to remove those from the back of the body of my tele and your title misslead me here. The correct therms I wrote here are the official therms used by fender on their charts.

One question, with all connected in copper like a faraday cage, is still needed the ground wire from bridge to volume pot? Many thanks

Cool. I was worried I would have to sand out the holes. I imagine this helps them stay in place also.

Do you need to cover the back of the metal pick guard plate with copper foil? It is already metal.

Is lack of adhesion not an issue?
@gugarl6 ай бұрын
Even on the opposite side, the decal adheres well. In fact, I haven't noticed any difference in adhesion between the two sides.

So what Im seeing is that the reversed decal has the glue on the outside and not the bottom side. Is this correct?
@gugarl6 ай бұрын
Yes, you can place the decal on either side because the water layer initially holds the decal on the headstock. The varnish will then secure it permanently.

No need to shield the control plate and inadvisable to shield the jack cavity. Otherwise, kinda yellow. Oh, and the pickguard screws are in too far, buckling the pickguard.

Made up to see this on youtube then heard it...nowhere near...i tinkered with reverb and dual delay fiddling around for a good while..got a decent sound better than the above but still not as good as hanks..do t think it can be replicated 100% on a. Digital amp..

If you have a amplifier with built in delay then im guessing if you use one delay pedal and work it along with the delay from the amp you should get the same close shadows/ hank sound i think anyway 🤔

You need 2 Echo units or a multitape echo so when you play a string the Echo must sound like TA TAN TA TAN and not TA TAN like in the Video, souns nearly but not correct. For me after 50 years dealing with the Correct Tone I discovered this : Toneriders SURFARIS pickups , Alnico 3 are the best, Fender or a good Squier Strat but with a bridge Vintage Style but with a BIG BLOCK, Heavy Strings, 11/12- 52/54 gauge, if posible with the 3rd WOUND , AC 15 VOX tone and 2 Echoes, greetings

Doesn't look right at all. It doesn't have that beautiful yellow color of a 50s telecaster. Looks like a barn caster with a weak see through finish.

I use Gibson deluxes ( mini humbuckers ) and always play apache live on the bridge pickup, strats would sound great with a gibson mini humbucker in the bridge position, ( none of that awful buzz ) trying out an nu.x Atlantic live and am getting excellent results with it, you can tap in eighths, the reverbs are also really good, the delays are one thing, the TONE is another.

I am about to shield my own tele with copper tape so it was good to see this. But....from other youtube videos, some people say the most important part to shield is the electrical cavity at the back with the pots. Were you not tempted to do this? The other thing is that some people say you must connect in the earth of the incoming guitar cable (from the amp) to the copper tape so that everything is grounded too.
