a comparison with Bokeh closed would have been more interesting for me. Radiance is no longer available and E3 is twice the price.

FiiO FT1 is the One and only Closed Back I need since i mainly use open back HP's. $150 FT1 is a Giant Slayer Closed Back

FiiO FT1 needs to be checked off against any closed back release right now so if you can do a quick impression i woukd appreciate that greatly.. I will have FT1s as my exclusive driver for a year and was presuming these would be the logical next step/endgame closed back, portable, easier to drive, OTG rig. Thanks and Happy New Year. Someone on Facebook compared fT1 and NoireX for me and said the layering imaging and separation were noticeably better,,which in a way is comforting if I'm going to spend that much more. And not to be simplistic about it but he said NoireX would be about a 25% improvement in these areas over FT1...So as you say given the market , in a year , with that improvement, I would probably pay and tap out for years. Thanks again, love your straight forward no nonsense style.

25-30% is huge leap. And think about the build and comfort. New stories of the FT1s failing with their build are showing up.

Sir, if u can enlighten me.. plz suggest DAC STREAMER PREAMPLIFIER 3IN1 under $1500 Matrix audio eliment i2 in my choice list as well there low price model is there which one i should buy.. even there is 2/3 more brand in my list one is cambridge audio cxn100 & 2nd gustard R26 & denafrips (wide choice) plz suggest best one.. Hey Wave, Happy New Year and thanks for this video. I have been looking at this one. I had high hopes for this headphone, and I have to say I come away a bit disappointed. I have the Radiance, so I guess I will keep looking. Not that I don't enjoy the Radiance anymore, just the opposite. I was just hoping to find something newer/better. So I will save the money that I might have spent on the Noire X and keep looking. Naturally, I have interest in the E3 as well, but I am not going to spend 2K on a damned headphone. I'm just not going to do it. Is there anything below $1500 that can beat the Radiance? Anyway, thanks again, I love your work. P.S. - Any word on when the technical series on cables will resume? I don't think we were done there, were we?
