Thanks for the great reviews! I believe your channel is an incredible repository of information and I've learnt a lot from your older videos discussing the innards of vacuum tube amps and their operation. Speaking of, do you plan on reviewing more Cayin tube amps anytime soon? I'm aware you have a HA1A MkII, but I was hoping you could also review the HA-6A/HA-300MkII. I'm looking into getting a Susvara and really want to pair them with a tube amp, and these ones are at the top of my list. Looking forward to more reviews!

That's a good list. And I'll agree, FiiO really stepped up and showed that they can exist outside the portable market this year. They deserve plenty of recognition for that, because not every company that's tried to do that has been able to.

I hope FiiO is able to build on their momentum with a little more attention to detail. I’ve seen multiple reports of minor-ish QC issues on the FT1, and my K11 R2R doesn’t get a lot of use because it pops on sample rate changes. Small things make the difference between “promising” and “excellent”!

Nice one Wave. I have to agree on the FT1. It's arguably the headphone of 2024 for its price to performance. I got the Walnut. I have the HE1000 Stealth V4 and would include that HP in that "Market Value" HP group. Amazing headphone for the money

Good list. Agree about the $2000 price bracket that HEDDphone Two especially locks that in in a big way. HE1000se is a bit too mellow and soft for my preferences and I might take an Ananda Nano with EQ over it. Tungsten is so hard to get atm that it's not a mainstream product imo.

Yes, the Ananda Nano with EQ is very nice even in comparison with its more expensive siblings.

For me the most important product of the year is Aune S17 pro, finally I found a relatively inexpensive, good sounding amplifier. Especially since in the EVO version they fixed most of the problems

Hekse is my favorite of that foursome. E3 is next. Hedd2 needs a little bass boost to sound its absolute best but it is very smooth with or without EQ. Tungsten is also very smooth through the treble. I had some acoustic impedance issues with Tungsten that the spacers Ryan supplies helped. But, that is my head shape messing with things. So, this may or may not effect you. But it depends on what you want. If you want a similar sound to Hekse but closed, E3 comes closest sonically. See my reviews on Hedd2 and Tungsten to know if you are interested in those.

Have the Tungsten and E3 already but considering the Heddphone 2 as well just to have an AMT headphone. Think it's worth it?

How would you say the Tungsten and the E3 compare. Have you tried the He1000se? Looking at getting one of the three & i've only tried the He1kse.

@ipodguy123g Have the HE1000SE as well. That thing impressed the hell out of me when I picked it up for cheap. Tungsten and E3 are wildly different. Tungsten is a very relaxed listen in my opinion where you can just put it on and forget about it. E3 is aggressive. The bass on the E3 shocked me the most with just how much of it there was. If you have the HE1000se already I'd probably pick up the E3 next to compliment it with a closed back. Not like the Tungsten is easy to come by anyway.

If a product is "market disruptive" then it's kinda unique. Therefore too many Headphones sharing this trait this year.
