kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIu2hmqYmbh6jLc Match of the Day. A theme which, I would have thought, ought to have been equal first with Doctor Who as iconic, instantly recognisable, and always introducing a drama.

To Wunga Bunga- London was very safe provided we didn't go south of the river into Slater Walker territory. A gentleman's agreement! It was the cops one had to watch out for; I was nicked four times for "criminal damage" (£50 fine). Most of the cops were pretty decent. One time on the King's Road I was let off with a warning and was happy to give them a few posters gratis. Interestingly, they would search through my bag to make sure none of the posters incited racial hatred.--Kevin Whelan🎉

The fact that the Brits think this is a great opening theme song and would continue to use it for half a century is the most British thing ever. In comparison, Hank Williams Jr's - "Are You Ready For Some Football" is the most American thing ever.

Everyone young and old has heard of Brian Clough, not so with Din Revie. What did Don Revie win that Brian Clough didn’t? What did Brian Clough win that Don Revie didn’t? Brian Clough proved to be a more successful manager than Don Revie over time. Not saying both weren’t great managers but Cloughie left the game with a better record which suggests that the Leeds board were very hasty in buckling to pressure to sack him after 7 weeks… bad decision… what have Leeds achieved since Don Revie left? Not a lot in 50 years.

Cook was completely sloshed at the start, and the relaxed cynical even nasty Cook is the best. When he felt he needed to compete with upbeat witticisms it made him anxious and self-doubting. The younger Cook never had those doubts and was viciously satirical.

It's such a shame this wasn't part of the original show because this is the funniest part of all of the extra materials. Todd Rivers is a acting genius.
