Thank you so much for your high-quality videos and all the stellar advice! I'm just barely 17 and have been accepted into my dream school, my dream career is to be a Product Manager, specifically at Apple. But now, I have to reverse engineer my approach as I step foot into this new chapter of my life at U of AZ. I am a highly entrepreneurial, driven, ambitious and empathetic person who would love such a role. Growing up without my biological parents, and being abused and neglected all of my life, I know deeply what failure is like. But it is, in my belief, the raw stimulus for growth and success as you mentioned, so I hope that the PM role might suit me. Anyway, I'm wondering what I should major in, I'm thinking about marketing bec I love photography and selling something people admire, love and think is aesthetic. Also, what are some top certification courses or programs that would benefit me? I know this is a lot, and I thank you for reading all the way down here. I just want some tailored advice if possible. I appreciate your hard work and videos and I hope you'll have a blessed life!❤ I'm thinking about communicating with software engineering and design majors upperclassmen who are like seniors in order to help me build an app. I'm not a technical person at all, have almost no interest in learning coding, but I'm good at statistics and data analysis. Anyway, I want to create an app while in college under the product life cycle steps from conception to completion. Specifically, I want to create a food and cosmetic app that you can download on your phone, scan stuff in stores, and figure out the nutrition profile, how organic/healthy the product is, etc. I believe there is a great need for this. If the plan works and the app is developed and people like it, I would like to sell the idea to Apple, and kind of wiggle my way into PM role at Apple; my dream! Any thoughts about my networking and development strategy. Thank you once again!

So happy you liked it! Always have doubts but nothing in your career is permanent, so usually worth trying something new and if you don’t like it, you’ll find something else!

Loved seeing your day. I can totally relate to the diverse work day when working in an early-stage start-up, and I also like it a lot haha If you don't mind sharing, what made you want to leave a big company?

Well it’s a long story as to why I left adobe, that might be for another video 😂 But I in general have a preference for smaller companies. I actually was only at adobe because the smaller company I worked for was acquired!

Great content. I’ll just add one thing. Your agriculture example is about workforce reduction at continuous if not growing economic demand. Your travel example is about growing demand the same time the industry is achieving economies of scale. Maybe not the comparison you were seeking. I am going to assume you’re trying to articulate AI can do both. There will definitely be more consumptions of AI-assisted “resources” let’s call them, replacing human workforce, while the demand for the goods and services produced with the assistance in new AI landscape also grows. Jobs will be taken, man hours will reduce, and the silver lining is perhaps that’s the argument for the 4 day work week once homeostasis is reached.

I have a call coming up to learn more about a CSM position - not technically an interview. What kinds of questions should I be asking to not only learn about the position but express my interest?

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your experiences! I am not (yet) a working mom but hearing your overall experience made me less anxious, specially while you were trying to not sugar code circumstances that were hard to accept that did change (e.g., additional time constraints, career impact, need for efficiency, etc.)

Hello Alisa , I'm Manisha Bheemanpelly. With two years of professional experience, including one year as an Artificial Intelligence Developer and another year as a Product Manager overseeing web, mobile, and AI-based products, I seek guidance on whether to pursue a Product Manager role or transition into a Development role, such as Data Analytics. Despite my passion for Product Management, I'm encountering challenges in securing PM roles. I have an upcoming interview for a PM internship with a monthly salary ranging from 5k to 15k, but some acquaintances question the viability of a PM career at this stage of my career. I hold a BSc-IT degree, a PG certification in Data Science, and a CSPO certification. Your advice on navigating this career crossroads would be greatly appreciated.

Watching this mock interview helped me to realize how much of this role I've already been doing! I'm a Product Owner looking to transition into something new and questioned if CSM was for me. My least favorite duty of my role is work break down with the engineers (breaking down stories and writing acceptance criteria). I feel like CSM could be a great transition for me since I have tons of experience with internal and external stakeholder communication and getting features/ work priorized. I'm going to use this video as a guide and go after some CSM roles and see where I land. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

There is a $300 online course to get into customer success specialist. Are these courses a good idea or could a person get into this on their own? I would be transferring from teaching to this.
