S2000 suddenly won't start, won't even try. Look for little bits of plastic on the driver's floor mat. That is your clutch switch bumper stop.

Thank you for making this video. My friend and I followed it and replaced the cables on my window today! When my passenger side regulator went out a few months ago I didn’t know you could repair it, and spent $1000 for a shop to replace the regulator (they didn’t put the glass back properly so it was squealing terribly too). This time when the driver side stopped working, I found the repair kit and your video. You saved me so much money and from tossing a working motor. Two pairs of hands helped a lot. I am impressed that you managed to get the cables in with just one set of hands. 🫡👏🏻 Thank you so much.

Like all of your other diy videos, they're concise and incredibly helpful. I just changed out the radiator (replaced with Koyorad unit), hose, and thermostat on my AP1 with the help of this vid.

The Autel AP200 is now the cheaper and more versatile tool to use over the CK-100. You can get them for $50 shipped. Just be sure to buy the older white AP200, not the black/red AP200H. It'll program your immobilizer keys and do a bunch of scan/service features too.

Took me two days of googling getting a new switch and connecting and disconnecting my battery so it would die to figure out this little piece of plastic was missing. It was a pain to get to too. I saved a lot of money by not taking it to the dealership and be charged a stupid amount of money

Owner's manual says 5.1qt of oil. Not sure why you are recommending 5.5? I know S2000's typically undergo oil starvation from less-than-experienced owner's who should be checking their oil more often, but 5.5 seems overkill. It isn't enough to damage the motor, but it is misinformation nonetheless.
@DIYGuysvideo
@DIYGuysvideo Ай бұрын
Oil capacity is 5.9 quarts. Manual recommends 5.1 quarts for an oil change but it all really depends on how long you let it drain. I’m just giving a practical number based on experience relax guy.
@FifteenthApollo
@FifteenthApollo 29 күн бұрын
@@DIYGuysvideo I have my AP2 owner's manual open in front of me - page 145, "changing the oil and filter", and it clearly states "Engine oil change capacity (including filter): 5.1 US QUARTS." nowhere on the page in this manual does it list liters?? I'm quite relaxed, I'm just trying to find out why you're spreading information outside of Honda's official spec. Sure, a "practical number" is good if you have a Civic, but when you're working on cars of this caliber, usually enthusiasts prefer to receive the most accurate and correct information. Which would be from Honda. Which would be 5.1 quarts. Not 5.5. You could have just said "fill it with 5.1 quarts and ensure you check your oil level every time you fuel up, while being sure to check the side of the dipstick that does not scrape the windage tray as that causes inaccurate, false-positive readings" but here we are. I actually enjoy and watch a lot of your content, I find it invaluable to working on my S2000, so something as basic as the amount of oil an S2000 takes being inaccurate, makes me seriously second-guess the integrity of the rest of your content.
@DIYGuysvideo
@DIYGuysvideo 29 күн бұрын
You’re right that it’s in quarts and not liters, so I don’t really have a good explanation for why the shop manual is wrong about this. But the shop manual has plenty of silly things in it. Funnily enough I’ve done over 60 track events on my high calibre s2000 with a .5 - 1 quart overfill 😘
@FifteenthApollo
@FifteenthApollo 28 күн бұрын
@@DIYGuysvideo Having access to the shop manual is also invaluable information. I'd love to get my hands on one but I only see them on eBay for over a hundred bucks. Thank you for your reply, I appreciate the insight. I wasn't aware your information regarding liters came from the shop manual. And to be 100% fair, over-filling the S2000 is probably not a bad idea since oil tends to burn away after 4K RPM.

Besides alignment issue. How's the Chinese mount doing for everyone comparing to factory ? Has anyone gotten 120K out of cheap Chinese mounts? My original Toyota mounts lasted 14 years 150K. If these things last over 100K, I think that's a killer deal.

My clutch pedal feel very soft after my clutch replacement. Is it normal? I've tried bleeding the clutch system still feel soft. Then thought it could be the master clutch cylinder, changed and bleed again got all the air out but still feel the same. The clutch was perfectly fine on the day doing my clutch replacement. What could it possibly be? Thanks in advance
