When I tried salt, it caused my soap to sweat .. I am wondering maybe the difference is actual sea salt That you used. I believe I used Himalayan salt. Just wondering if anybody knows if that could be the reason my soap was sweating because I used Himalayan and sea salt. Thank you!

@tonyajohnson178 Salt is a humectant and does attract moisture. Your soap definitely can and will sweat when the humidity is high! I use both, sea salt and Himalayan salt, and have a dehumidifier in my curing space to help. This time of year, it doesn't tend to be a problem though.

@tonyajohnson178 Keep in mind that epsom salt and dead sea salt will sweat more than usual. You also want to avoid any salt with added iodine in it.
