You didn’t have to cancel unless you paid in full when you ordered. . The $2k would come off on delivery. When I bought my Model 3 three years ago, I got $4k taken off the price on delivery.

@@sludog That makes logical sense BUT…problem is the NJ regulation for FY 2025 specifically stated if you ORDERED, purchased or leased an EV prior to July 10, 2024 the 2K would NOT be allowed. I sent a text to my advisor who said yes, you’ll have to cancel and reorder BUT he’ll see to it Tesla gives me the 250 back on my original order. How classy is that? For THIS program you get the 4K in total only below a certain income level…this FALL…not now. I only get the 2K plus the no sales tax, which is around $2,700. In October EV buyers will pay just over 3% sales tax, which would cut that extra 2K down to only about $600 after paying the 3.35% sales tax.

I am leasing the standard rear wheel drive. I chose this option because it has the most stable battery lithium phosphate. I didn’t want to take the chance of a thermal runaway event in my garage with the other batteries offered

3rd row is horrible. It removes lots of storage space in my opinion. That whole back section under the floor is used in our car. My pucks, first aid kit, air compressor and 4-5 other things. 1k or not, it's a waste of money. If you want seating, buy a different car....

That is going to be very popular if you don't need AWD. Like a race car driver out front who can manage his lead without stressing or overdriving his car aka the Cat and Mouse game, Tesla can probably do that better than any other EV manufacturer in the world. They wanted me to reschedule for Thursday or Friday so of course I was pissed and requested it be changed to the rwd variant and they did it without losing the $250 fee and now saving $5000. I’m in Florida so I don’t need awd. I’m glad I got this one and saved the money. The sound system is fine I don’t even notice much of a difference except maybe the bass. It took exactly a month from canceling the awd and getting the rwd.
