This year, I wanted to try my hand in making mixed nut mooncakes. They’re healthier & are packed with protein! I didn’t like this flavor before but I thought maybe if I make it myself and customize it, I could enjoy it. So I threw a bunch of nuts, seeds and dried fruits together (listed below👇) and to my surprise I really liked it and maybe more than lotus seed paste! 🤭 Almonds Cashews Honey roasted peanuts Pumpkin seeds Sesame seeds Desiccated Coconut Dried cranberries Raisins

My husband is allergic to wheat, what could I substitute wheat starch? Xanthan Gum? Potato flour? . Thank you

You can substitute wheat starch with corn starch or tapioca starch however it will change the texture & appearance. Corn starch will make the skin firmer and tapioca starch will make it chewier & elastic. Hope that helps!
