I'm an investigator in the Gilbert stake that goes to 3 YSA wards every Sunday and notice they are using QR codes to log Attendance Also they merge some of the wards because Of their new policy of extending the YSA age to 36 so now for one of them there's over 400 ppl 😅

Brilliant episode! The church’s polygamy story is beyond stupid and I’m glad this is coming to light. Even if primary kids are indoctrinated with this watered down version, they will have a crisis later when they learn the actual history of polygamy.

It's not that the Civil War itself would lead to world war, but that war would be poured out upon all nations beginning with the Civil War. I saw that when I first read the revelation. Now I see it can be read either way. At the time, if Smith had been a fraud (and I don't think he was), it would have been a gamble, and based on events that subsequently took place, no one in or out of the church called foul on Smith! In fact, Orson Pratt and other missionaries said they carried the revelation with them and showed it on their missionary ventures. And the Civil War did lead to World War 1, then to World War 2. Anyone familiar with biblical prophecy could see the church's take on the revelation.

It is not the temple I have issue with. However I think they should obey all ordinances and codes like anyone else. Enforcement should be fair but also even handed.

Whatever new COSTUMING the "directors" staple together, IT MUST NEVER BE FORGOTTEN WHAT THE REALITY IS UNDERNEATH. And that THAT structure and each and all its elements ARE SWORN TO, FIRST, FOREMOST, and FOR EVER! That is what y'all do. Diligently. Thoroughly. And responsibly. 🌺Thanks without end! 🌺 [That ruby-sequin top is stunning; so Rebecca! Landon, yours would be a dark turquoise.]. """""'"""""""""""""'''""""""""""""'"""""""""""""""""" Oh! BTW. Moses did not have multiple wives! Only after his first wife died , he married ONCE again. Nor was Abraham married to multiple wives. The new slides you suggested to teach the true history are hilarious I’m dying 😂 Feels like they met with artist & said,” the number one thing we want to illustrate is the men suffering & please hide how hard it was for the women. We want the world to give credit & honor to the men’s sacrifice & stop telling stories about the female victims. 😢

This story on polygamy supports the idea that in the LDS Church morality is determined by divine command. If God commands it, it’s good. If God says no, it’s bad. It makes goodness entirely arbitrary. “God is good” becomes the exact equivalent of “God does what He wants.”

Landon commented on Oaks' Christmas devotional talk. I tried to find the written word on the church's site and couldn't find it but watched the video. I noticed that Oaks right arm shakes a lot and wondering if he has Parkinson 's disease or early onsets of Parkinson's. Just curious if anyone else noticed it or has heard if he does have it. Great episode. The church continues to practice the art of deception with leaving out key important facts in their new watered down or whitewashed version of church history. So glad I'm out. They are trying so hard to move away from who they are or were and creating a new modernize version of itself. Keep up the awesome work of shining a light on the TRUTH!!!

One more tidbit of info I learned tonight: one of my friends works at this college. All employees were instructed to ensure all building lights were turned off, including shutting down laptops, so as to not distract from the display. When this friend walked through the luminarias that night, she said the lights from the temple completely ruined the experience.

Why leaving Joseph out of the introduction? If Joseph gets proven wrong then all of it is wrong right after that. All the books he wrote, all the translations he made, all his prophesies… boom!! All of it is done!! If we get rid of Joe, we leave room for the other prophets yet to come to get it right.

Actually, there is one group of native Americans who do have some Middle Eastern DNA. This has been mapped in detail by geneticists. A search will bring up more information. This group are the Cherokees, who were predominant in the American Midwest. It was already well known in Smith's time. He included it in the B.O.M. to flesh out his story, just as he used other known sources of information, many of which have already been discussed. He was simply a compiler and organizer of information already known at the time, while adding some fanciful stories of his own. Yes, the other groups did come over the land bridge. I am not defending Smith or the B.O.M., just wanting people to know about this important fact.
