Great to see you back Barry. Always look forward to a new video post off you. I've noticed Kyren's cue action especially the final delivery aspect. After the final pause at the final backswing he delivers the cue relatively slowly for say the first 2" of that delivery before accelerating through the cue ball. Is that something you have both worked on? Also in my own game i have difficulty sending the cue forward from the final pause position where the more power the shot requires the longer that pause becomes to the point where i can't let the cue go forward. Any advice on overcoming this demoralising affliction? Also i know this may sound counter intuitive but delivering to chest i find very difficult also for some reason i seem to quit on the shot which creates a decel habit that can't seem to break. Any practice routines you could advise to remedy this problem would be greatly appreciated

I watch your video since covid. Everytime i go to the club to practice, in my mind i heard your voice in my head. Is like you are beside me. To give slowly and consistent in que action. I just want to tell you Barry, your coaching in this channel really help me a lot in my que action. Before this, all red are finished, but my point is still under 20. I know is very embarrassing. But now 2024, my highest point is 50 point the whole frame. Not always, but im reaching it. Im very happy. Not in single brake of course. But still a big progress for me. I just use very basic of what your suggest in the early previous video. You tell most important thing, pot center, top, below, and queing straight. Thats all i do. I wish and hope i can see you one day, at least to shake hand and say thank you. You are my 1st online snooker coach. And im blessed got to know you. With love from Malaysia.

A player, in this case Higgins, should have the option to "decline" the penalty that Ronnie committed. That way Ronnie will have to replay the shot.

My habits or process I am developing for my game (as a beginner) is a feedback loop of aiming, cueing and stability (stillness). Before I pull the trigger I need to get signals from my body and vision that I cue straight in line and that the body is still the whole time. There is a feeling that you are on the money, that you will pot with certainty. Sometimes I get the green light to pot instantly and play like Tony Drago, sometimes I must tweak or correct my line, feather multiple times or wait to achieve total stability while cueing.

What if you come to the table and there are reds still. Cueball is touching black (touching ball). You play your shot away from the black trying to hit a ref but you miss without the cueball making any contact with any ball. Is it a 4 or a 7 point foul?

The beauty of the game brings me to tears. Kyren seems like really good guy and Mr. Stark is a model for us all. Watched a few videos, had to leave a comment
@andrejuglesic502011 күн бұрын
Hello Mr. Stark, hope you are well! Thank you for your words and videos. I have one question regarding dominant eye. According to your expertise, is there a possibility that a dominant eye position on your chin varies a bit left or right according to the length of the shot? Thanks in advance, rgds from Slovenia
@BarryStarkSnookerCoach10 күн бұрын
@andrejuglesic5020 No, unless there had been an injury or illness the dominance of the eye does not vary. The length of the shot will not influence this so the position of the cue on the chin should not move. Awkward shots and therefore body positions can sometimes influence head positions so It is possible that the cue may be in a slightly different position in relation to the chin and therefore the eyes but this is very unusual and not to be recommended. Barry.

Your point about not doing what you think you're doing also applies to music. I play piano and it's very useful to record yourself playing. you then hear all sorts of things that you can improve that you don't realise otherwise. You've done a great job with Kyren. he's gone from a contender to a winner in recent times.

Really nice video. Barry you must be so proud of Kyren. I have learnt a lot from you. I am after a quick bit of advice Barry. I have found through your videos that my cue has to be under my dominant left eye but Im unsure whether to move my cue to that point on my chin or my head? Please help sir
