You learned the proximity of the metal in the bullets is enough to set off the sensor. Failures teach more than success and this failure only cost you a sensor and a tea bottle.

I don't think people in Europe understand what we lived through since 2014. Trump and the far right, not Republicans, but far right, have done nothing but demonize Ukraine. They literally turned Ukraine into a political tool one can easily argue had given Putin the final bit of nerve he needed to invade. The Obama administration sucked as far as providing aid but there was a red line that had effectively been reset in 2016. I really wouldn't expect Trump to help Ukraine at all what so ever.

It will be a sorry world when a man can't sing to his dog. Careful with that anti tank grenade. One sock may think it's a toy.

OneSock. The nickname of my daughter when she was a baby. She would lay back in her Moses basket and always take one sock off and throw it out of her basket. The other foot was waved in the air. Not a name I was expecting.

Hey Joe, it sounds dumb in a place where everything is already trying to kill you but FFS wear your seatbelt. It would be really dumb to get killed or seriously injured in what should have been a minor car accident.

FYI Proximity sensors can detect both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, but the type of metal affects the sensing range and the type of sensor used: Ferrous metals: Inductive proximity sensors work best with flat pieces of ferrous metal, such as steel or cast iron. Ferrous metals have a higher reduction factor than non-ferrous metals, so they can be detected from a greater distance. Non-ferrous metals: Inductive proximity sensors can also detect non-ferrous metals, but the sensing range is usually reduced. Non-ferrous metals include aluminum, brass, and copper. Capacitive proximity sensors: These sensors are suitable for plastic objects. The reduction factor for each metal varies depending on the metal's composition. For example, steel has a reduction factor of 0.6 to 1, while copper has a reduction factor of 0.25 to 0.45. This means that steel can be detected from the full switching distance of the sensor, while copper can only be detected from a fraction of that distance.

That's interesting idea for a detector. If it actived by the presence of any electromagnetic material it means placing it near debris, concrete reinforcing, etc, it'll go boom unintentionally. If it is activated by a change in flux, they're really onto a cheap but effective trigger. Might have skipped the bit where you're singing to your dog; I expect you'd do the same for me. Love ya, One Sock. Cheers, Mac.
