Layne's arrangement of this is so GENIUS! It's so deliciously creative, complex, and insanely fun! And their performance of it was PERFECTION! I love all of them and their ability to emote and be in character while remaining so vocally superior. Mad, MAD props, y'all! I love it when they collab with Ashley, she's so perfectly suited to this kind of work and fits in with the group like she was always meant to be there.

As I am growing to discover each of their strongest suits, I find that in addition to his warm and snuggly deep bass voice, Geoff's talent as an arranger is not only genius, but it reveals such a tender and complex side to him which always comes out in his music. The warm, complex, chord structures he implements to perfection in ALL his arrangements, which are always so harmonically lush, reveal him to be not only gifted but intellectually and intuitively complex himself. A musician's truest nature shines through in how they write or arrange music. This, and all of his arrangements reveal so much to me as a fellow musician. He is truly exceptional in the industry. I say this not to take away from the others in the group who arrange pieces - they are ALL incredibly brilliant and creative arrangers AND performers - but the sensitivity Geoff can draw from them all is so special. Although this video is a few years old as I write, it is a perfect testament to what I'm trying (too verbosely) to express.

I've heard so many versions of "Stand by Me" that I didn't think I ever wanted to hear another. I was wrong. It's VoicePlay, people, and it's exquisite. Mykal's voice is so incredibly smooth. Wow.

The mall versions always have something magical about them. This “Stand By Me,” to which I’m listening under her full super moon, balances the sweetness and poignancy of this song. And I am always an so happy when e get to hear Layne sing. Thank you.
