Dang I wish I got in on this! I have so many hot takes for 2026/ Gen 10 specifically. I’m calling it now! Gen 10 is going to mirror Gen 1 in alot of ways and we’re going to get a new “eevee”-like mon to fill out the rest of the types were missing. Hence the big year of eevee honors. All the types remaining lend themselves to a bipedal “shell/armor” looking mon.

I’m a G1 old head like Soul and I have played RSE and I agree with everything he says. I don’t like the style or the overall vibe of that game. I even find the music to be grating, the horns just don’t do it for me. Soul made me feel heard!

25:29 I’ve been saying they gonna bring in poken style battling to mainline games. It would feel great if u can move ur pokemon to dodge and also have four moves to use to attack. That would be epic for a legends game. Kinda like how u could move ur actual character during battle in Arceus

This is such a cool episode having it be purely irl on Dusty's couch with lifelong friends talking about a game they love. From what Alex was saying about trying out FF4 on the DS & how it was much tougher to the normal Pokemon style, he'd love something like Persona, Metaphor ReFantazio (2024 GOTY by IGN & GameSpot), or Shin Megami Tensei. Atlus makes JRPGS extremely well & never disappoint. Now imagine: irl episode with Soul & Lumi :O

Hearing you guys talk about combat and other RPGs made me think a huge what if for PLZA. PLA made the switch to real time combat what if PLZA makes another leap and its action combat where you comtrol the pokemon and the synchro machine was a tease to it and now full fledge combat with four moves and moving around a designated battle area. Also another thing Castlevania Dominus Collection has DS titles they could do what they did for port of the DS Pokemon titles

Really enjoyed this episode. Definitely had a different vide than your normal videos and was nice for something different. The guys seem really cool and seem like passionate “casual” players. Felt like I resonated a lot with some of their stories especially about the asterisks on nuzelocke play throughs when you loose someone to a stupid grinding encounter 😂

Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum would be my favorite Pokémon games. The anime aesthetics, Japanese regions to explore, and the character and Pokémon interactions are great. Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum deserve remakes and even ports.

I don't understand why game freak doesn't make 2D sprites for every mon. Like they don't need to be in the 3D game. I just want legit sprites. I want to see how cool they would look

People say that the Z-A trailer looked futuristic but I think it’s more likely that it’s supposed to look like a blueprint, but in 3D. Kinda the reverse of a blueprint. Not to mention that blueprints were invented around the same time that the restoration of Paris happened, which is the most likely time period if it’s in the past.

Dude the stadium style battles that Sw/Sh gave us were so cool. They’re literally like the match battles in the anime, specifically thinking of the destiny Deoxys movie battle. I loved that in those games, it felt like the pokemon league was a global stage event unlike in previous gen’s

I loved the battle mechanics of PLA. The final battle at the end was so fun.

I enjoy these tier lists. So far I’ve watched Gens 1-3 and the main series titles. But my god Lumiosepost is probably cool irl but almost completely ruins these videos with how disruptive and loud he comes off. If I could just mute him I would.

Seriously, people are not being graphics snobs when they say the mainline Pokémon games do not look good right now. Most of these games are a sloppy mess of conflicting arts styles in the environment, the Pokémon, and the human characters. It’s not like gamefreak are even going for a simpler visual style. When you add on top of that the way the games perform and how hollow the worlds feel it really does become insulting.

This’ll be interesting, I have some more normie friends who aren’t as big into pokemon as me and it’ll be interesting to see how much more that is as a youtuber.

I don't mind that ZA got delayed. I'm actually happy that the developers are taking their time with this game.

One way to do the terrain based gimmick could be like Domain Expansions from Jujutsu Kaisen lol, every Mon could be able to set up a simple terrain relating to its types and moves (how they'd reparate this from the existing Terrain moves I don't know though), and a select few would have more detailed domains. Each gimmick has been accessible for all Mons since Megas so that'll most likely continue.

I actually thought XY was more in line with Lumiose’s perspective. The riding of Pokemon is cool, but it also offered a lot more diversity of available Pokemon during game play that you didn’t have in previous games. Team building options were elite. They made hidden abilities too hard to obtain though… Greninja protean comes to mind.
