That’s because the 2016 was incorrect. The interview was in 2020 I believe, he bought the defender in 2017 and in hadn’t moved to CA yet in ‘16

I had a ‘14 Nissan Leaf as a commuter car from ‘16-‘24 that I bought off lease in Atlanta. Paid $14k with 16,000 miles on it, sold for $4k with 78,000 miles. Range was 90 when we got it and 60 when we sold it. Charged it at home for about $1 a day according to my power bill. Absolutely no maintenance or repairs whatsoever. New tires once and one new 12v battery. So the car cost in total about $100/month for 8 years. Super cheap to own, maintain and operate. Highly recommend a used EV as a second or third car for everyone. Replaced it with a Mazda MX-30 EV just because she wanted something new.

@@1radley Yeah, that was pretty funny, the seller seemed to think it was in the bag, an e39 M5 lover and all that, but Kennan scrutinized over every littler detail. Obviously it was also scripted a bit, i doubt that that is how the sale went down exactly, but it might also not have been too far from the real thing.
