You quite literally just read the entire vapor95 website as the “content” for this video. Not a single original thought crossed your mind

I find it interesting personally, i find barber beats to be a form of release meant for exploration, hence the beautiful graphic designs for covers that pull you in so you can give it a listen. After you've gotten into it, with the help of barber beats you can discover more jazz artists and alike that have been used within the mixes as samples and giving light to underground releases that you otherwise wouldnt know of. Barber beats is a form of mixing and making playlists for people to discover what they originally would never know about, with the help of some visual pizzazz.

doggystyle being the last release on crydamoure is almost symbolic. it signals the change from the sweet, romantic french house sound to the aggressive, hard sound of the sleazy french electronica that would follow with daft punk releasing human after all and the whole ed banger crew establishing themselves.

Holy cringe. Yeah bro it's so controversial, make sure you get in your 10+ min video to capitalize on the hype before it's gone!

Stop referring to them as “artists” that’s absurd. This isn’t even up for debate. They should not be allowed to make money off this and they are not artists or musicians. I think it’s fine they should be allowed to do it and release it for free but if these ppl think they are musicians they are delusional.

I think you should check out vektroids album 777 pig danger , it came out earlier this year and it’s one of the most dark sounding albums I’ve heard

I'm sure it may be odd, but this album has always reminded me of the Stephen King mini-series/novel ROSE RED

Honestly, I've listened to this so many times,I guess it's a morbid curiosity due to a family member in the end stage of dementia. Personally I find your interpretation of the album as hands down the absolute best. Best regards 💐

I really don't understand why he doesn't release all his tunes under 'Skylar Spence' in Spotify, it's ridiculous I have to come to KZbin in 2024 to find all his tunes. Mate keep doing it. Saint Pepsi is still the best Nu-Funk / Vaporwave that has ever been created.

I’m a few years late to this creepypasta, but I love it. I don’t care if Dennis is Begotten, the music is fantastic. Lore is a little cringe, but I would expect that from a black metal guy. It’s all really captivating.

anyone know what happened to the remaster of this thing? It was advertised big time and when it dropped in like october 2021, it was up for a brief moment before being taken down

i think it's really funny you specifically said "plundered" here, as in Macroblank's bio a lot of these songs feel kind of "stolen", but i love a lot of them, and specially the way they put the songs together

I… had no idea so little went into the making of these songs. I was unfamiliar with a lot of the sampled work so this is kind of a bummer.

I love the video. Thank you for treating this horrible disease with utmost respect. My grandmother passed away from dementia a few months ago. She’d had it for 5-6 years. This really put it into perspective for me. Appreciate it.

Music feels like it's been around so long that everything has already been made in one form or another. It's all just rehashed or remixed or rearranged into a way that at the very least feels slightly different from it's derivatives. Didn't realized I witnessed the evolution of a genre since I've just been listening to HfM and Obscob's Praise the Sun God for a good while now. I just thought it was good, let it play in the background, and made it through another rough night at the time.

No mention of Porcupine Tree and their album In Absentia? They were writing and recording in NY during that time and one of the songs was literally written in the aftermath of the attacks

Fantastic video! I got recommended macroblank about 2-3 years ago and have been down the rabbit hole ever since. I only recently discovered modest by default like 3 weeks ago and permaculture is a real treat. I love barber beats because they let me keep my focus clear and concise especially when I'm doing certain monotonous things at work. Barber beats are absolute motivation starters for me and I try and click any new ones the youtube algorithim recommends me. Another artist that I've been enjoying thats a bit closer to nujabes as opposed to barber beats is Vanilla. Summer is my absolute favourite track they've made. The soundscapes get even deeper when you get a newer piece of audio equipment. I remember I got my first pair of IEMs and relistened to some vanilla and macroblank and it just made my jaw drop. Fantastic video mate 👍

I remember showing HFM to friends in 2019 and it genuinely blew some people away who were NOT your typical Vaporwave enjoyers. When MACROBALNK popped up for the first time I remember the words shared between them and HFM were pretty bitter. It's been nice seeing the genre grow more, especially in ways that stray away from what made HFM's sound so iconic.
