Thank you for this! As a traditional beginner artist, 7:42 really helped since I've just been drawing the same people (like my oc's) over and over 😭 I've never thought of making fanart specifically but I'll try and keep that in mind! :D (also I totally agree on the brush you use being important to some aspects while drawing, I tend to switch from traditional to digital every now and then)

I fully agree with the brush thing when it comes to line art, I didn’t fully like my line art until I started using the laso tool (yes the fucking laso toll) and this is why I copy thing artist I look up to like Foxi Boxi, he has impacted my art so much in every style he has done over the years!

As a artist, the statement about crafting an art style from someone's you like is a GOD statement, i did that when i first started with miltiple artists, and now its a whole thing !! This whole video is true honestly, i mean, genuiely its true. I'm glad someone made it

This is probably unusual, but I get my color palette from images of what my oc is based off of, because everytime I make a color palette, if it’s based off a mushroom, i used the colors from the image Holy cow I js realized I yapped for so long I removed half of it-
