I’m looking forward to him. I do feel like he looks a touch too cartoony though, it contrasts with his new voice and the new art style a little bit *too* harshly for my taste. I think it could be improved quite a bit with a bit more particle, texture, and screenshake work, though, so he looks a bit less like a stuffed animal. Maybe I’ll get used to it and grow to like the dissonance, but my initial impression is that a few of his moves are too cartoony for the new art style.

Tbf, Etalus' lore was coverd in Tales of Aether like how Absa's lore was covered in Creatures of Aether

I think Absa is coming for spring, Slade for summer and a brand new character for autumn.

People got hyped by Absa being there at all, but her design is a very interesting thing to notice. That whole skirt thing she has going on is a new element that will probably apear on her 3D model. Witch makes sense, considering everybody who had some fabric on them gained even more to better cover their shit. If that's actualy thr case i'm curious to see the actual model and if the skirt will change her silhouette much.

This is because MVCI was actually recently patched to stop people from using boss characters online; if the character isn't "flagged" to be playable online, the game will crash when you try to go online. Since MVCI:B is a mod that works online, this presented a pretty big roadblock, and Max doesn't want to try to break this because there's a worry that doing so would push Capcom to shut the mod down. Sucks, because I'm a huge X-Men fan, but this just means they'll have to see the game's renewed interest and make a new one with the X-Men in it (if they ever make a new one).

Something I noticed fairly early on is that rivals characters are truly their own. When you say "they are like X smash character" its usually a mash of 3 or 4 characters. This was one of the things that made me fall in love with the game.
