Hey I appreciate this! Elemental Damage is more prominent on Glaive as well, at least by my understanding. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood the mechanics though-could you fill me in on the elemental damage cap?

IG is a wepon that has some sort of middle ground between fast and slow weapons, elemental famage cap is bigger the more base element you have but it still exists for alatreon's embrace you stop getting bonus damage after around 780-800 elemental damage (i tested it and also found out that 30 elemental damage gives plus 1-2 damage per hit which is a joke honestly) and by the fact that raw gives more than elemental and alatreon's embrace has plenty of element, it's more efficient to slot in like 3 agitator+ decos which give you +24 TRUE raw which after the ig modifier of around x3,2 gives you a 77 attack boost which is just better and the only reason alatreon wepons are better than lightbreak is noy element but more sharpness which is atrocious on the lightbreak press

Oh my gods yes. I loved how the Palicoes would help us garden in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd as well.

As much as I don't want that to be the case, I do believe you're probably right. With any luck, some of these issues will be addressed well before release, but with how frequently we see day one patches, I'm anticipating we'll get a rash of performance updates after release too.

I feel like all of the weapons are much more active and engaging. Legit, it's been a fantastic experience seeing how they've shaped up, and there's more "control" to them, which I like. I may not prefer some of the changes, but it'll be a fun adjustment. I'm ready for something new.

Yeah, for sure, the biggest contributor I can find-especially over longer play sessions-was specifically that memory leak, which is a bug. The game will feel more optimized in the end, once that bug is addressed, even though it’s not even part of optimization. With that in mind, actual optimization will likely make for even more improvements to performance, on top of the bug fixes.

That's unfortunate to hear... Was it the performance issues that ruined it for you, or was the gameplay just not really up your alley?

@CoyoteWildfire mostly the performance issues I had a few gripes with gameplay but honestly I didn't give the game enough of a try because it ran so terribly and ran into so many bugs playing with a friend.

I hear you. Will definitely be covering more on the topic as we get closer to the release date. Perhaps there will be more opportunities to see additional optimization and bugfixing that will improve the performance for folks impacted, like yourself.

Yeah, it really sucks that a lot of people have become so disenfranchised. Definitely not going to tell people they should just "believe me bro", either. I think it's wise for folks to hedge their bets--no sense in shelling out the cash if they won't be able to enjoy the game.

I definitely feel positively about the amount of optimization we'll see on the game at the release, in contrast to the state of the build used for the Beta. But I really can't blame folks for feeling wildly unsure about it. This is a make-or-break moment for Capcom, and all I can do is hope that Wilds gets a mirror sheen polish at the time of release to help demonstrate that the performance was just a problem with the Beta and not an Engine or design problem.

Sure is. Like I said toward the end of the video, it's very likely that the Beta version we experienced was a build that predates the six month optimization focus. It's even possible the production game was in a better state before the Beta even opened.

Sometimes the simplicity is worth it just for the peace of mind.

@@CoyoteWildfire I have 2 powerful pcs,that cun run anything due to my work as visual producer and all games runs good at ultra,but for MH or some games that i want to be 100 percent sure that they run fine and the build up party systems to talk to my friends i prefer the ps5,and my experience with the beta was fenomenal
