If you miss a train in China, you don't need to buy a new ticket. You can go to the ticket counter and change to the next train. You can change your ticket once for free. Refunds will be charged a fee of 20-50% (depending on the time after you missed the train).

Your video is so real. It's not easy for foreigners to travel by the green traditional trains with only hard seat tickets. I am sure you were missing the feeling of riding a High Speed Rail train very much, when you guys found everything on the green train so BASIC. But it's not a bad thing of experiencing the different styles of life in China. You may not be aware that green trains are for people who are most budget sensitive, typically being senior citizens living in rural areas . The ticket fare of green trains has remained unchanged for several decades.

These two youngsters took it to another level and get to see and live in the “real” China…..not the fake bologna our media pushes. Our country here has become censored and mediated from the government. It’s so so disappointing. Anyway….travel while you are young, healthy, and free before life bogs you down. Always carry the previous passport with you when travelling, in this case you could show the previous passport which you had used to buy the ticket, the establishment doesn't care if it is expired or not, they only care about the passport's name and number matches the name and nunber on the ticket. Some places like hotels or rentals may require you to leave your passport with them, which legally they shouldn't but some places insist and you have no other choice, give the expired passport instead of the current one, most often they dont look at expiry date and the visa stamp, don't tell them though. 😂
@OTWD_ytАй бұрын
I will never leave my passport with anyone 😂 you don’t do this for 3 and a half years by leaving your passport with people
@Anonymous------Ай бұрын
@@OTWD_yt There were a few times I needed to hand over my passport to get a room (Vietnam, Turkey) or rent a motorbike (Thailand), I had no choice so I handed them my expired passport, they didn't check the expiration date or the Visa stamp. The expired passport can also be used to verify your identity without showing your active passport, just in case you forget to take it back or someone runs off with it. In the old days when traveller checks were popular, an expired passport came in handy. Carry or store the expired passport separately, don't have it together with the active passport, so if the active passport is lost or stolen, you have the expired passport as a back up until you get the passport replacement which takes time to get.
