I remember when this happened! Wasn't watching sadly, but my Mom asked me who got the pole. I was guessing, "Pagenaud, Castroneves", but when she said "Romain Grosjean" I LITERALLY BLEW. THE HECK. UP! LMAO

Romain, you are 100% right about the regulations leading to the necessity of pay drivers. Formula 1 learned its lesson about this. Pay drivers make the sport uninteresting. I was there at Nashville, thrilling race, but I was thinking, this should be a 15 car race. You’ve got professional drivers putting on the show, and then you have kids with rich dads paying for the show and providing obstacles for the pro drivers to pass. F1 got tired of the jokes about pay drivers, and got so serious about marketing that there is a multimillion dollar movie coming out soon. The one place I disagree is that I think you are so right about marketing (missed opportunities internationally, even look at CART) that they could keep the hybrid, and still eliminate pay drivers. I mean, bless these kids, but you don’t see this in the NFL or the Premier League. Talent and marketing go hand in hand-F1 found that the best marketing is a winning team. If you have to temporarily move to sportscars, all the best, maybe Le Mans in 2026. All the best in 2025.

Mr. Grosjean, I am very glad that the consequences of your terrible accident were not very serious, and you are in good health and continue racing. I am a little sorry that you went down in history as the author of undoubtedly the most spectacular accident and rescue in the history of F1, because following your performances, I saw how sometimes you had to "hold back the horses" and obey the team strategy, and somewhere (in Valencia for example) the victory slipped out of your hands due to technical problems. Of course, I do not have all the information, but I think that the "bet" on HAAS was a mistake, which was confirmed by that terrible incident. I like your blog, I watch it and wish you good luck and victories on the race tracks and in the blogosphere! Please tell me, what is your attitude to sim racing? Funny you and I have alot of similar hobbies. I have that exact same Lego Porsche, flight sim and racing sim.

Can't accept any list that has Prost or Schumacher on it. Prost was a cheat that only got his way because he was buddies with the head of the FIA, not to mention he protests his own team mate against orders from the team.... almost as bad as Schumacher that got where he was by cheating with Option 13 and having a teammate that was paid to lose to him.... garbage drive the both of them.
