Great video! Question - what compressor is that? Year? Are you running a Camaro 4th gen “ac bracket”? Love the side connector on the compressor. LS1’s got em in the back and I’m getting interference.

One comment I've come across many times by guys who weld steel buildings is that (short circuit) mig is not approved for structural work. Structural being stick (or flux core). I think it depends on the settings and the gas used, as well as the technique of course. Just curious what your settings were and what gas you use. I have an idea of what I would set the welder to, over 23 volts, somewhere over 400 ipm. Gas would be 90/10 argon/co2, or 90/8/2% o2. If I could turn the frame sideways to do the sides I would go 26.5 or 27 volts, 550 ipm, and spray it together.

This one had a 2 piece driveline so I sectioned the carrier bearing bracket to raise it higher and line up the 2 driveline angles

I’m wanting the 5.3/4L80E swap my 1984 k20 if I go through warr preformance do I tell them what’s all done to the engine and tell them the transmission I’m running along with my tire size and gear ratio and send it to them and when I receive it back plug it in and run it it should run a drive correctly correct

If you cut 14in out of the frame then you would cut 14in off the driveshaft.

Can you use compression fittings instead of aluminum welding? How much Freon is needed?

Yes compression fittings will also work the Freon varies I use a snap on ac machine machine so I just fill it till the pressure is about 30psi with the ac compressor on

Had a brutal vac leak tapping into that port like you did I did it exactly the same I dunno wtf truck ran fucked. Plugged it and it runs mint again I dunno. Made controls work tho

You could possibly have a vacuum leak under the dash on the controls if you have a smoke machine it can be a quick check or connect the vac hose back on the manifold pull the glove box down engine at idle and check for leaks
