Methodologically speaking, we will apply an empirical translation formula aimed at precision, namely we will try to correlate with the ancient authors, not merely interpret them. We build a tether, as we present and examine the raw data, applying the principles and paradygm of Western theory and Practice of Translation, while aiming at a high degree of semantic precision. After showing you the literal words, we then apply period cultural contextualization and reach the most appropriate translation possible. Each step being clear and distinct, thus hopefully easy to follow.
To what I present, you can apply whatever interpretation you wish to reach an exhaustive read. I'm not here to change what you think, but to build upon it. To what I offer, you add whatever you feel is right based on your own knowledge and or faith. Let me also remind you. Atheist and Theists alike, you are all welcome here.
Why is it important to Present the Words as they are?
Check these three verses.
Deuteronomy 12:32
See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.
Proverbs 30:5-6
Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
Revelation 22:18-19
...If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.
And coincidently.
Corinthians 13:1 "In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."

Conclusion
1 - El, Eloah, Elohim
"You shall have no other gods before me" Exodus 20:3
Appearing over 2500 times in the Bible, and mostly found in narrative passages, Elohim is not only the very first name for God we are given, but it's also a central core word within the ancient text. It first appears in Genesis 1:1.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Bereshit bara Elohim et ha shammayim veet ha arez.
Even though it is translated as God, the original word Elohim, is grammatically a plural, and is often preceeded by the article, which disappears in translation.
As we see when we jump in interlinear. Genesis 35:7 con articolo ha Elohim
So "the Elohim" or "The Gods", would be a grammatically accurate litteral translation , taking into consideration the numerical plurality of the word ending, which usually defines masculine plural.
To make the matter even more complex, the term Elohim is followed by both verbs in singular form and verbs in plural form.
2 - Semantic Range of Elohim
Etymologically speaking, so when it comes to the origins and evolution of this word's semantic field through time, there is a very likely connection between the Plural Elohim, and the singulars El and Eloah.
However, the etymology of the word Elohim is believed to be prehistoric, thus the gathering of information is limited at best and often simply outside our reach. As a result, its true meaning and origin are unknown and lost to antiquity. Still, A few educated guesses will be presented.
The word Eloah appears more than 70 times in the old testament, mostly in poetic passages. It could originate from a root with the meaning of to terrify or to be afraid.
The word El which may structurally function as the stem, is what could be more realiably trasnlated as God, singular.
We use the word El many times in our daily lives, sometimes without realising it. The Ending of many names in common use also in the West contain this word, such as angelic derived names. Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel etc. You may find it supricing to know that we also find it in the entertainment industry. See Superman's name Kal-El. It shouldn't surprice us that a being with incredible supernatural powers coming from the sky has EL in his name, considering the fact that the writers and creators of Superman are infact Jews. An interesting fun fact is that the actor that will play the next Superman is also of Jewish origins.

I really love these videos on religion that you’ve done. I’m a devout Catholic who works in ministry, and this analysis of language is helpful in understanding biblical texts based on the original language. When doctrinal points are applied, this actually deepens understanding. So thank you.

Dr. Michael Heiser, an old testament scholar, explained this so well in his Book The Unseen Realm. It was a brain busting eye opener for me. Like tumblers in a lock, things began to fall into place and I said "Now I get it!". Thanks Metatron.

Information like this used to be hidden inside thick books that most people find uninteresting, or behind expensive university doors, and known only by few. Thank you Metatron for bringing this valuable information to more people

I stand by the information that you put forth as accurate. Thank you for all your hard work in putting it together. There is a lot of information to unpack when diving into just these specific words. I just wish more people would do it themselves. However, I am very Glad that they have you sharing your findings. Bless you.
