What is the bird in your video. Green yellow gold with red. One visited our home last and purched itself on the banana plant 😊

My European Goldfinches fly free the whole day and get a huge amount of exercise (about 14 hours or more in the summertime). They have larch-tree branches and cones. I provide them with plenty of vegetables, even from the countryside: dandelions, raps pods, evening primeroses, and, of course, thistles. They spend hours opening them. However, I am used to buy seed blendings and I obviously observe that they pick up the fattiest seeds first. The blendings are made by Goldfinch experts in Germany and Italy. I do not have the chance to make a blending by myself as most of the seeds only grow in Southern climates.

I had two green cheeks who were clutch mates and the male died last night, I want to get her another companion. She is 3 1/2 years old and the sweetest bird ever. Would it be best to look for a male or female and also younger or the same age?

These are all good tips and I'm still learning. But I’ve come to realize some birds cannot be tamed. I recently had a Parrotlette for 4 months that was terrified to the point I never saw it sleep, he backed away or ran to the back of his cage every time I got near it, and would only come out of his cage, fly a few laps around the room and squawk at me from the top of the cage before going back inside. I tried all the tips and nothing worked so I decided to take him back to his breeder. The breeder gave me a different bird instead, an 8 weeks old baby, and he bonded with me within 24 hours of being home. I’m sharing this for everyone who, like me, felt frustrated and hopeless. It might not be you--it might actually be the bird's personality. If you want a companion bird you MUST get one that has been hand fed and ideally is already hand tamed. If you get a bird that doesn’t like or trust humans, you’re likely never going to tame it. I've heard people say it can take months or years to earn a birds trust...but I think that’s unreasonably long. In my opinion it is ok (and maybe even necessary) to re-home a bird that doesn’t acclimate to you. The birds happiness and wellbeing, and yours, needs to be honored. And a bird that doesn’t acclimate, likely isn’t happy.

I purchased a flight cage large...for 3 budgeys. 2 water/feed areas...no fighting. Long not high cages are home to them.

You Show 2 Kinds Of Food And feed To The Bird And get 2 of The Treats Again And put in two sides of your hand the left hand And Right Hand show it to the Bird and The bird will pick one and determined to get the favorite food So you can get its favorite food easily and also try new treats and plus you can use fruits and vegetables that can be fed by the bird

is it ok to not have a cage but provide a save space consisting of perches food and water bowl lots of toys and a foraging bowl this way my cockatiel can fly as much as he wants and he won't have a small cage. the room its self is quite big but it won't fit a proper flight cage so im wondering would this option be ok?

Great tips but I don’t think it’s sinking through for Raven, one of my biters. That will take some work. She’s just horny and wants to mate but her pair is not in the mood… sure makes her behave weird! Now she’s after my other 2 males in the flock.

My green cheek loves her spiral perch. There’s no loose ends of fabric on hers, they have plastic ends and she never chews on it. It’s an easy way for her to get from the top to the bottom quickly in her big cage. I’m thinking of getting a second GC because the vet told me I should but I’m hesitant because I’m in a apartment and she’s loud enough + I’m retired so I’m always home with her.

Thank you so much! I bought a conure named coco for my bird kiwi to have a friend! They love each other so much! I did lots of the steps today so now they are just talking and playing around! Kiwi still attacks but she is starting to behave! Can’t wait to see how their relationship goes!

Hello miss. Sorry about the weird youtube name. I log in through my gmail so it auto adds it. I am wondering what they curved top open top looking cage is and what are it's dimensions. I have boon looking for it but the only ones that I've seen are way smaller. I think half or one quarter the size of that cage. Where did you get that cage from?
