Rob beating Romero twice to earn the belt gave it validity when GSP vacated. The best fought the dude no one else wanted to fight and it was wild. Could have been a boring fight and then forever people would be bringing up gsp in the middle weight conversation. Rob was the first of the new generation of middleweights that saw people like Pereira and Israel have one of the best rivalries in sporting history.

To me, a champion isn't just the guy that beats everyone else, a real champion is someone that you would be proud was a role model for your kids. someone who sets the example for the next generation of MMA fighters. When judged by that criteria, few of the sport's champions really stack up, but there stands Rob, head and shoulders above the rest. A true champion.

Great documentary man we all appreciate the work you put it on this one. Rob's a great human being I got to meet him once for like 2 minutes n his demeanor and just being authentic you could tell he's just a solid dude. I hated seeing him lose to dricus but the comeback story to the belt is gonna be a fantastic one. First costa now ikram he's in a tricky spot cuz Izzy vs dricus is next and Strickland is definitely next for the winner of that but Rob should definitely get the winner of that. Those 4 can beat each other on any given night and everyone else just has to get better there's nothing more or nothing less the rest of the guys at middleweight just aren't on their level. Looking forward to seeing more of these documentaries good shit brother 👏

It's so rare to see a fighter of this caliber with so much humility. I mean yeah, other fighters are humble, too. But Whittaker is on Wonderboy's level of being a good dude.

Before i became an ufc fan, my first impression of Whittaker by looking at his face was "this dude must be a villain", "this dude might be worse than connor at trash talking". Apparently, all of my assumptions are wrong and he's one of my inspirations beside gsp, lyoto, etc. Btw, that scene when he looked down when adesanya won against him, almost makes my tears come up😂
