It may be the Australian flag on his chest, but he was born in New Zealand and is a Maori warrior. That's where his natural fighting blood comes from. So probably slightly more on the Kiwi side. So we'll claim him and you can have 35% shares. Sound fair ?

Rob beating Romero twice to earn the belt gave it validity when GSP vacated. The best fought the dude no one else wanted to fight and it was wild. Could have been a boring fight and then forever people would be bringing up gsp in the middle weight conversation. Rob was the first of the new generation of middleweights that saw people like Pereira and Israel have one of the best rivalries in sporting history.

Robert Whittaker isn't "That one guy" who refuses to be a dickhead for clout. It's the Australians in general, they're always humble and respectful and they never turn down fights. Bobby Knuckles, Volkanovski, JDM, Jimmy Crute, Tai Tuivasa (Okay Tai talks shit but it's all in good fun) Izzy ain't Australian, he's not even Kiwi, he's a Nigerian Chinese... He doesn't count. As a long time Whittaker fan it sometimes gets lost in history that Whittaker lost to Wonderboy then moved up to MW. He then murdered everyone the UFC put in front of him by finishes. Then fought Yoel Romero who literally everyone in that division was ducking not once but twice and Romero didn't make weight both times. Fighting Romero in his prime takes years off your life. Robert will always be one of my favorite fighters of all weight classes. Not just an amazing fighter but as good and a stand up guy as they come. Humble and fearless a rare gem of a fighter. 🙏

It's so rare to see a fighter of this caliber with so much humility. I mean yeah, other fighters are humble, too. But Whittaker is on Wonderboy's level of being a good dude.

Before i became an ufc fan, my first impression of Whittaker by looking at his face was "this dude must be a villain", "this dude might be worse than connor at trash talking". Apparently, all of my assumptions are wrong and he's one of my inspirations beside gsp, lyoto, etc. Btw, that scene when he looked down when adesanya won against him, almost makes my tears come up😂

Great documentary man we all appreciate the work you put it on this one. Rob's a great human being I got to meet him once for like 2 minutes n his demeanor and just being authentic you could tell he's just a solid dude. I hated seeing him lose to dricus but the comeback story to the belt is gonna be a fantastic one. First costa now ikram he's in a tricky spot cuz Izzy vs dricus is next and Strickland is definitely next for the winner of that but Rob should definitely get the winner of that. Those 4 can beat each other on any given night and everyone else just has to get better there's nothing more or nothing less the rest of the guys at middleweight just aren't on their level. Looking forward to seeing more of these documentaries good shit brother 👏
