What a shock that anything with a guy who ended up in BBT would be useless at portraying a role as nuanced as Mark.

I remember a moment that I think was in season 2 where Mark is looking through a door in JLB at Sophie and I think Geoff. The sign on the door disappears between shots and it's so obvious that I don't know how the mistake even happened!

I enjoy the music, with no real irony, because it has sincerity in the quality and writing. Also, the pop rap tune has the incredible line "my time is overdue like a synagogue roof' which is actually bloody decent.

As soon as Barney was introduced, I figured it was because the Jamie actor was unavailable. But why create a new character? It would be equally believable just to have another actor play Jamie in the later episode. I doubt many people would have cared.

I thought the same thing about extras and Gervais's career. There's a scene where Andy's more successful ex-extra and now actor "friend" and his "cool" agent tell him that he can't be a successful and respected actor, he can only be a comedy actor using catch-phrases and silly costumes. This echoes Gervais's acting career exactly, but I'm not sure if he meant it that way.

Jeez, this reviewer is so one-sided, he's just determined to blow this film to pieces in every single way possible. His criticism of the slight difference in light shades demonstrates this. Nobody outside of photography/films would have noticed that, because they would just be watching the film, not looking for faults. He's even alluding to the positive reviewers being misguided.

I really liked this show, found it charming and pretty funny. Karl is a pretty relatable person, but in a way that makes you reflect on some of your negative aspects It’s miles better than After Life, which is one of the most pretentious, egomaniac shows I’ve ever seen

The 'adults reverting to kids behaviour' works a lot better in 'Friday Night Dinner' with the two brothers pranking each other. Here with Jez being a brat with his mother with little pushback, it feels like a sketch idea over extended and wears thin quickly

I love season 8. Season 9 was the letdown for me, it was just too formulaic and a rehash of the same old formula.
