No way could the Witch King have broken Gandalf's staff!! He had been a Man-empowered by a diminished-without-his-ring Maiar (Sauron) Gandalf-The White, at this point is a much more powerful Maiar. What total crap, that one!

Bring it. People are too picky and judgmental. Nothing will be better than the original books. It is still visually stunning to see.

Personally, I disgust the scene of Gandalf meeting the witch-king. His staff gets broken, so basically he lost his power. This is impossible since Gandalf is one of the Maiar. Besides, this meeting never takes place in this form. Gandalf meets the witch-king at the destructed gate of Minas Tirith. Before they can challenge each others power, the witch-king turns away since the Rohirrim are arriving on the battlefield.

I wonder how much fun it was working with Peter Jackson. I mean he's the Director and all so he's got the weight of the movie on his back, but at times it looked like he could've been a pretty good guy to work with!

I suppose its well enough known that Viggo when that blade was thrown at hm it was supposed to miss him by many foot and did not. What you see on screen quite real and the nasty Orc threw blade straight at his head and Viggo deflected it away exactly as shown. Smashed it away with his own sword and that if muther-fukin badass right there. It is also known that the sword Viggo carried in all scenes was a real metal battle blade not a prop. It was real. Badass x 2 in my Kiwi opinion.

To me what makes the choice of 1# so impactful is that Sam has no knowledge of the victory at Helm's Deep and Isengard, yet he chooses to give the speech anyway, he still feels that way regardless.
