I found your site a few weeks ago and have become a fan girl. Thank goodness for Lego’s. Years ago my son was in his room a it got quiet. I went in to find he was washing his baby sister’s hair with Desatin diaper sauce. Do you know how difficult it is to get that out of the scalp pours??? lol. My goodness, it’s a wonder we don’t have time to knit. Diane

Cute dress! I wish I liked wearing dresses but I don’t 😮. Lovely podcast as usual. Sorry I don’t have a summer pattern to share with you, I’m currently finishing up a winter cabled hat with worsted weight. 😃 Trying to use up stash and I felt like making something with cables so it is what it is.

Lovely podcast! I gave up planting bulbs, unless they are Daffodils. They are the only ones that are left alone. Also deer leave the plants alone. Win win!

Your dress looks beautiful! I love the elastic. Did you make the flower embroidery in your background? I’m curious about your decor and the pieces that came from your grandma’s antique shop! I am a big reader, I’d love to hear what you are reading too.

What a lovely dress you made, it looks so good on you 💃I recently made a summer knit - a summer tee called Ever in the book Form by Kim Hargreaves and I ❤ it. It looks so good in the colour I chose. Happy summer knitting and God bless you and your family ❤

Hi, your new dress is gorgeous! And the neckline finishing is lovely. I agree, it just added a very pretty pizazz to the dress. The fabric and colour is so beautiful, as is your very neat lining of the top. Really glad I found you, I really enjoy your vids. It’s like a lovely visit. Currently working on an Elton Cardigan for my Mom in Malabrigo Carribeano (teal green, blues & purple) with Drops kid silk in matching teal green called Petrol. And summer knitting usually involves socks. So lacy socks on the needles too. Also still working on my Belle Histoire Tee. I love it. Definitely a pretty knit. I’m doing mine in 100% cotton rather than the mohair/silk yarn shown in the pattern. Hope you find what’s after your chickens, check thoroughly for any possible entry by predators in their coop. They are sneaky and find spots to dig under. If they are free range, that can be trickier, might be eagles etc. they swoop down and leave no trace behind.

Oh wow 🎉 I’m so excited to have won. Thank you 😘. I love your dress. Makes me want to dust off my sewing machine. I have an antique machine too that I love using occasionally. I hen my second child was born almost 25 years ago my hubby bought me a new machine. It’s getting there in age as well but those good old basic Kenmore machines are so good. I love your advent wrap. Makes me also want to work on a project with my advent yarns. I’d love a fade project. I’ll send you an email with my info. Thanks again ❤

Opossums take chickens one at a time, usually from the coop as they are roosting. We lost quite a few to them.

I am also looking forward to a pink (yay PINK!) UPwards Top. That yellow one turned out so cute that now I want to knit one too! With the Vilma Top, you could always just tea stain the tank/vest once you’re finished. I’ve done that successfully with cotton in the past.

Love your ranunculus. I definitely want to knit one. I'm currently knitting the Ilha sweater. It is almost the same color as your ranunculus, but it is a sandnes garn line yarn, and I'm knitting it in a short sleeve for summer. Until next time happy knitting. Diane

Congratulations on 5000! Your set up in the basement is just fine. Noises were not bothersome at all. My sweet spot for WIPS is 4-6. More than that stresses me out and I end up going into finishing mode so that I can whittle them down. You are drawn to those blues and greens because they look great on you. I am more drawn to warm colors because they look better on me. It’s so fun to explore color theory.

13:24 You can definitely just knit without increases if you want! I have done it on a couple and it mostly just disappears into the underarm. If you really wanted to keep the look of the increases (especially if they have a decorative element as well), I wonder if you could increase accordingly and hide a decrease immediately next do it?

Your advent wrap is absolutely adorably colorful!! I'm glad you decided to keep knitting on it 😍 I love your thoughts on knitting colorfully instead of all practical - I feel like I'm starting to come out of the "always knitting practical basics" and embracing the color of the art :)

If I needed the yoke to be deeper I would increase to follow the pattern but then k2tog to keep the count the same. That way you have the same raglan look without actually increasing. Great episode and I thought it was fine recording in your basement. I don't see a problem with wherever it is easier for you :) See you next week. -Jenn

Your recording is perfect as is your home decor. Glad you didnt frog the shawl. The pink tones are gorgeous, reminds me of spring flowers. The pink tones suit your complexion. ❤ My first sweet grandchild Kiara arrived last night, 5 weeks premature but she is doing well. I had 2 boys, no girls. Knitting frantically. Finished the Tulip dress for her. Now doing the Sunday suit by Petite Knits. My understanding is, if you continue knitting the yoke without including increases, it should get longer but not wider. But be careful as it goes down over your shoulders that it wont be too tight.

Love all of the projects you have in the works, lady!💗Also so with you on both having a slow/low inspiration season - it happens! - and on knitting being like art, I would never buy something neon, but knit it?? Yes, ma’am. I indeed will buy and knit with the crazy, vibrant yarn.😆
