Great stuff again JT. Back in the day, those SUBARU'S & TOYOTA'S 4 wheeled hatchbacks, were incredible winter vehicles. I've known owners who've put well over 500,000 miles, until rust never sleeps. Thanks for sharing.

On the way to school in 1984, my brother and I heard Icicle Works-"Whisper to a scream". We made fun of it while it was on, but by the time it ended we were fans. Ian McNabb has a wonderful voice.

I'm so glad to have found that on vinyl, and the Japanese pressing sounds very good with enough bass. I have that one and 2 others on Cd as well.. Nice story, I can see how you kids, or me for that matter.. would have made fun of their song at first.. Great 80's music tends to have such strong hooks and melodies ! The 80's - an excellent decade for music; to see all of those great titles is very nostalgic. Seven and the Ragged Tiger gets better with age. The 12's are nice as well. The Flat Earth is another favorite of mine. Lots of great B-52, Police, Petty, and Prince titles.I've been after the Chris Moon Group since the first time you featured it. Great titles, Jt Take care!

I can see why you love that box of records JT. Sooooo many great records in there! You probably already know, but Nick Lowe’s Pure Pop was named Jesus of Cool in the UK. Slight change of track listing but I think the Jesus if Cool title wouldn’t be acceptable in the US. Great Police and indeed an awesome B-52’s, Graham Parker and Nick records. Great stuff JT, now let’s have box 2 😁 Mike
@jtsrecordroom39637 ай бұрын
I do know that, actually.. I paused as I read the title on the flip, thinking " Jesus Of Cool" My country can be so uptight and annoying ! To change the title was silly.. Trying to sell units in America was and is what they do. On the flip side of this, it's fun to have different album art and sometimes.. different titles ! 😅 Thanks, Mike

I picked up a US version of that Icicle Works LP, wonderful stuff. Echo and Bunnymen Killing Moon, fantastic song. Romeo Void and Simple Minds, both favorites of the 80s. Don't Stand So Close to Me 1986 remix is on this record. I have to have all The Police albums. Fun Fact: Sheila E was inspired to play drums by Karen Carpenter. Our Lips are Sealed is my favorite Go Go's song. I ❤ the drummer Gina Scock. When you travel to Bangkok, maybe you can find One Night in Bangkok single 😊
