I looked it up and the results said they are high enough in tannins to use in mordanting. But I dont know if its best to dry and powder them first

I’ve your video. I’ve been testing differently natural substances for dye colors. I’m doing my avocado today. Whenever I boil I’ve found the higher heat temperature draws out the best colors 😉 keep sharing, love it!!!

This is probably the slowest most drawn out video ive ever seen. This should have been 3 - 4 mintues tops.

for the iron powder portion of the video, when u added the water, was it boiled hot water or just regular warm or cold water? basically my simple question is what was the temperature of the water when u added the iron powder? thanks in advance 🙏
@LisaRogers-x8hАй бұрын
Great video! Are those marigold petals on your pants? With iron? I love them!
@billynouАй бұрын
Yes!
@tewtheaxolotl9440Ай бұрын
quick question, i want to dye these pants i got from thrifting, but they have black metal buckles on them. Will the hot water damage them in any way? i’m worried they will loose their clasping mechanisms and less about staining the metal.
@vihagirish8246Ай бұрын
Omggg that is literally sooo pretty! Does it hold in the wash though? And if not, do the colours spread all over and stain? How can we make it stay?
@billynouАй бұрын
Yes you can wash them as I have mordanted “fixed” the fibers which means the colour are very durable… they do need to be washed on cool with ph neutral soap though. I cover all this in my ebook available on my website Billynou.com

I love the videography, very organic and puts me in the environment without too much noise or rigid structure. Some people mentioned lighting, a studio diffuse light may assist. But I enjoy it. It's calming. I also very much value how you treat your child. Though she may not be helped by hearing "its always messy with you" 🐝 children internalise so vastly. I'm just being sensitive though, otherwise 100% perfect
