Yall are lucky- the Nashville B&Ns don’t even ATTEMPT TO TRY categorizing or even stocking most of this stuff. A Criterion shelf and that’s it. Makes for a super sad browse! And another recommendation here for THE CELL- you won’t love it as much as THE FALL but it’s still super cool visually- and DANCES WITH WOLVES.

Definitely pick up The Cell. There’s a small disc error on the 4k directors cut. It’s only a few sec so not too bad and Arrow will send a replacement disk. But for $25 it’s a great price.

I want to pick up the Mexico Trilogy but of 3 stores by me, only 1 had and had one of those Spider Security things on it trashing the box. Fail

The Cell is great in some ways. It could have been so much better if they had cast different people other than Lopez and Vince Vaughn. They are both awful. Vincent Dinofrio is fantastic and is a great story with beautiful visuals. Tarsem also did a TV show called "Emerald City" which is a retelling of Wizard of Oz. Loved it. Dinofrio is in that too. Is a shame they did not pick it up for a 2nd Season. Highly Recommend.

Don't get The Cell! There's a mastering error on the 4K disc that caused Arrow to recall their 4K copies

INCUBUS is the Shatner movie that is done entirely in the language Esperanto. Esperanto was a constructed language that was made to a universal language. Easy to learn and understand. It never took off. But we have curiousities of the attempts. Like INCUBUS.

DJ, Mirror Mirror (2012) is also directed by Tarsem. I know that's more of a mixed bag movie, but still very glorious and wide with its fairytale world depiction.

The cell is a very good thriller movie & worth picking up & a simple plan is a very underrated movie and worth owning

I've loved The Cell since it came out. So excited when saw Arrow was releasing on 4K as only had on dvd. Definitely high on style like The Fall but very dark, incredible sets, costumes and make-up.

I wish our B&N had BR & 4K inventory like that. The closest one with an extensive inventory is 200 miles away.

The Cell currently has a disc error on both the blu-ray and 4k releases. Arrow is aware of it as well and will offer replacement disc in the future.

Like John, I haven't seen The Cell in almost 25 years, but I remember it being visually stunning, but thematically creepy. I found my old blu ray, need to give it rewatch....A Simple Plan is an engrossing movie, and Billy Bob got nominated for Best Supporting Actor. Always worth a watch....And didn't know a new version of Jason and the Argonauts was coming out. It's my favorite Harryhausen movie (although any movie he contributed to was worth watching). So I'll definitely have to keep my eyes peeled for that. Thanks for the info!

Regardless of the underwhelming reviews, I really like Costner's Horizon: An American Saga. It crept into my top 10 films of the year actually. I think it deserved more respect especially as most people's criticism seemed to be that it's slow paced & left a lot of story unresolved, but well yeah, it's supposed to be a four-part saga, what do you expect? LOL

I wanted to check to see if you received the "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" W.A. Blu-Ray- it should have shown up the same day as "National Velvet" according to Amazon. "Hyde" is definitely not a kid's movie, but "National Velvet" should be a great family watch- one of my favorites growing up, and still today. Also wanted to know if you have seen 1946's "The Yearling," also from MGM and director Clarence Brown, who helmed "Velvet"? I just wrote about it on my blog and it's another fantastic, animal-themed Technicolor family film available from Warner Archive. The Avery Blu-Rays I just sent your way actually mention the adult aspect on the back of each case- they are an awesome collection, in any case, and do have a couple extra features therein.

I will just save my criterion credits and get it at 100 usually how I do with most big sets ,which are not many.Also I am a Completionist so that makes it easier for me double edge sword if you will

I'm pretty new to Arrow. Lots of things I'm interested in, but I want to see things before I buy them since I'm only looking to add movies I love that I'll rewatch more than once. So far, I've got Donnie Darko, Conan: The Barbarian, and Robocop. Looking to eventually add Inglorious Basterds, Demolition Man, Trick 'r Treat, David Lynch's Dune, The Warriors, Legend, and American Werewolf in London, maybe one or two more. I went to B&N today to check out their Arrow Video selection and didn't end up getting movies that were a part of that sale. The two movies that were there that I wanted, Trick 'r Treat and Inglorious Basterds, weren't in the format I wanted (Blu-ray and 4K respectively, unless someone wants to tell me that Trick 'r Treat is significantly better and worth getting in 4K instead), so I ended up walking away with Mission Impossible: Fallout and Gladiator in 4K steenbok, and Alien, Chinatown, and Scream Factory's release of They Live in 4K.

That hundreds of beavers slipcover went OOP within MINUTES! I went to pick it up about 15 mins after the PO went live and it was already gone!

I got a raise (🎉) and my little treat to myself was grabbing the Lionsgate Limited Kill Bills + Jackie Brown 4Ks. I’ve never had steelbooks like these and the designs are so fun, I’ve only popped in Jackie Brown but the transfer is stunning - it looks absolutely gorgeous in 4K.
